This book is a lovely contemporary romance that will leave me smiling for a while. It centers around Yardley, a wedding planner that dreams of carving out a happy place for herself while catering to the needs of everyone else. I have to comment that she was a little too sweet and perfect for me. She reminded me of an old-time Disney princess. Thankfully her best friend gave the angst I needed. Travis leaned toward the “too good to be true” vibe as well. But hey, they made a great couple and along with the quirky town, fun banter, and a roving mannequin, it all blended into a delightful summer romance. I’m curious about who will be next in the series.

I enjoyed this romantic comedy about second chances and a fake engagement. I thought Daisy was a fun, nerdy, intelligent woman. Yes, I got tired of hearing about how hurt she was over something that happened ten years before. Move on, girl. I also liked Liam right away and knew he would give Daisy a run for her money. There were holes in his backstory, but not enough for me to worry with it. I liked their banter once the “old hurt” stuff went away. I’m glad she moved on, so the sexy romance could blossom.

My complaints on this book would be: Too many characters actively involved in the story. Too long on the “you hurt me ten years ago, so I hate you now”. Some important moments were skipped or lightly passed over, leaving me feeling a bit cheated.

The first chapter had me cracking up and anticipating the rest of the story. It didn’t sustain the level of mishap, but the snarky humor and fake engagement kept it lighthearted. All said, it was a cheesy and sometimes corny romance that made me smile. I liked it.

I enjoyed the first book in this new series. I was hesitant due to the human trafficking angle but found that it wasn’t too graphic for me to handle. The storyline was exciting and filled with tension – keeping me guessing on a few particulars until the end. Some parts seemed to drag a bit, but I chalked that up to being the first in a new series and learning about the McKenzies’ mission in life.

As for the main characters, Sterling is strong, assertive, and confident while still being likeable. Cade was reluctant to be forced into a way of life, but darn good at what he does. He is protective with alpha tendencies, yet still able to appreciate Sterling’s abilities and intelligence. They made a believable and good couple. The romance built to a nice sexy love story.

Cade’s family dynamics built through the book and culminated into the camaraderie that I love in a series. I’m anxious for the next book, hoping it’s about Cade’s brother. That should be fun.

I enjoyed the interesting back story regarding the seedy underworld of collectors and the related courier business. It was fast paced with enough action to make it suspenseful, woven in with a spicy romance. I don’t care for snobby, judgmental and rude heroines that make me doubt attraction and the hero’s desire for more than a jump in the hay. Thankfully Mary had just enough endearing moments to keep me reading. I liked Brodie even though he strayed into the macho-micromanaging world a bit. But I overlooked that since he probably felt Mary would have used unsound judgement just out of rudeness to him. I liked how he was with family, his dog, and Mary. I’m glad she grew on me enough to be glad for their happily ever after.

I am intrigued by the family and friends around them, so I look forward to reading the next in this series.

This was one of my favorite summer reads. I just loved it. COOPER’S CHARM is about two sisters and has one main love story with a secondary love story. The characters were great, the romance was hot, the story was engaging and it had just the right amount of mystery. I wanted to visit this resort with my pup for a vacation. I highly recommend this book for romance lovers looking for a new contemporary romance series with a little mystery.

Three novellas about two brothers and a friend close enough to be a brother. They are fun light romances and I love how the three men banter and tease each other. Their relationship is just fun. I like the women they fall for also and the steamy romancing. My only complaint is that the relationships go from zero to marriage far too fast in the storyline. It just didn’t ring true enough for me to embrace on the first two stories but the last one seemed to flow in such a way that I could believe it. They were all around sweet stories.

Shaking his head, Denver turned back to the bar—and almost bumped into Cherry Peyton. The time of the night and so much dancing had left her bouncy blond hair a little messy, her makeup a little smudged, her skin flushed and dewy.
She looked so damn hot, his guts tightened.
One hand on the stool next to him, she asked, “Mind if I join you?”
Struggling with himself, Denver hesitated too long, causing her to retrench.
“Unless you’d rather I didn’t?” Watching him with big dark eyes that now looked wounded, she let out a breath. “You’re probably hoping to hook up, right? Stack and Miles already did, so I didn’t want to get in their way.”
Yeah, until he’d gotten preoccupied with watching her, that had been the plan. A one-night stand with a nameless woman he’d never have to see again. Relieve some stress. Get his head together. Then walk away.
Man, had shit gone awry on that plan.
And again, he’d hesitated too long.
Twisting her mouth, she nodded. “Got it.” She tucked her hair behind her ear with trembling fingers. “Sorry I intruded. It won’t happen again.” Her cheeks were hot, her eyes glassy as she turned away.
“Hey.” Before she’d taken a full step, Denver gestured at the seat. “Suit yourself.”
Given the length of time it had taken him to issue the invite, she should have been insulted. He half expected her to tell him to go to hell.
Instead, after considering him for several heartbeats, she slid that shapely ass up next to him.
“You’re staying in the hotel across the street, too?”
Why did she ask about the hotel? Looking at her lips, he said, “Yeah.”
“So am I.”
Damn, he didn’t need to know that.
She blew a curl away from her face. “I’m glad I decided not to drive back tonight.” Releasing a deep breath, she closed her eyes. “I’m beat.”
Seeing Cherry rub her temples, he asked, “Headache?”
“It’s so loud in here.”
Frowning, Denver stroked back her soft hair and put his palm to her forehead. Damn it. “You’re hot.”
At first she froze, while the rise and fall of her breasts gave away her deeper breathing.
Because of a simple touch? How was he supposed to resist that? Slowly, he withdrew.
And she relaxed. “Thanks. I think you’re hot, too.” She smiled at her jest. “Too much dancing, I guess. It’s so noisy and warm and…I should probably turn in.”
Denver watched her slide back off that barstool without commenting, without an offer to walk her over, without…anything.
She hesitated, giving him plenty of opportunity, and he saw the moment she gave up—probably on more than tonight.
Maybe for good.
It’d be for the best, but damn, the idea bothered him.
After a soft sigh, she said, “Good night, Denver.”
He felt like a coward. “Cherry.” Reaching out, he caught her wrist.
She turned, her gaze searching his.
“Hang on.”
Her short, humorless laugh cut him. “Why?”
Without meaning to, he rubbed his thumb over her knuckles. Her hand was so small, delicate and soft.
There were a lot of rowdy guys hanging around, adrenaline pumping from the fights, either from watching or partaking, their discretion weakened by alcohol.
That excuse served as good as any.
“I’ll walk you over.”
“You really don’t need to do that. It’s just across the street.” She stared up at him. “Unless you want to.”
Yeah, he wanted that—and so much more. They both knew it. The only question now was whether or not they’d each follow through.
