I enjoyed the interesting back story regarding the seedy underworld of collectors and the related courier business. It was fast paced with enough action to make it suspenseful, woven in with a spicy romance. I don’t care for snobby, judgmental and rude heroines that make me doubt attraction and the hero’s desire for more than a jump in the hay. Thankfully Mary had just enough endearing moments to keep me reading. I liked Brodie even though he strayed into the macho-micromanaging world a bit. But I overlooked that since he probably felt Mary would have used unsound judgement just out of rudeness to him. I liked how he was with family, his dog, and Mary. I’m glad she grew on me enough to be glad for their happily ever after.

I am intrigued by the family and friends around them, so I look forward to reading the next in this series.
