I was swept into the world surrounding this romance by page two. I’ve never been in the military, so was surprised to flow right along with the struggle of the BUD/S, Navy SEAL training while the romance grew. I just loved Matt and Shane. They were strong warriors, driven to succeed, hot, yet they each had a vulnerability and gentleness of spirit that captured me. Each secure enough in their masculinity to lean on the other when needed. This is one story that has stuck with me long after the last page was read.

She’s been in a room with a 17-year-old mass murderer who was also one of the most soft-spoken and polite teenagers she’s ever met. I truly enjoyed this light contemporary romance. Not only were Paige and Luke relatable and likeable, the townspeople were a fun and eclectic group of people that pulled me into their world. I want to live in St. Clair. The story had no earthshattering events or hot and sexy scenes, it was just a feel-good romance that left me smiling. I look forward to revisiting with Belle number two.

Today, she wore a plain white T-shirt and nothing else.
For a moment, his thoughts derailed. Look at those bronzed, mile-long legs, ready to wrap around my waist. Or my shoulders.
“Are you hungry? You must be hungry,” he said. He wanted to watch her eat again. And yeah, okay, staring at someone as they savored a meal was probably creep-city, but Leila was his addiction, the sickness in his blood, and there was no cure. Symptoms included:
Acute swelling in the groin—Check.
Night and day sweats—Check.
Total lack of concentration—Check.
“I’m not hungry,” she said, and sniffled.
Sniffled? He forced his gaze back up her body, only to curse. Red rimmed her eyes, and tears glistened on her cheeks. Clench. He cupped her jaw and demanded, “What’s wrong?”
“Everything! You’ve been so good to me, but now our test drive month is over. You probably want to sleep with me just so you can be done with me and and and—”
Not knowing what else to do, he pressed a swift kiss to her lips. She gasped, the pulse at the base of her throat hammering.
Could the month’s end be the reason for his foreboding? “Do you want to know my favorite day in all the eons of my life? The day you doctored me. And the day after that, when you smiled at me. And the day after that, just because you were at my side. I wouldn’t change anything that’s happened between us—except asking for more than a month of your time.”

How easily she’d just touched him. How easily she’d offered affection. So different from the frightened girl he’d found in that cabin.

Galen and Legion ended up being perfect for each other. I loved their story! It was sexy, fun, emotional and passionate. Galen has been the villain throughout the series, but he grew on me some in this novella and I enjoyed his interactions with the Lords. I recommend reading the series in order to fully enjoy the series storyline. I highly recommend this series for paranormal romance lovers. Gena Showalter is one of the Queens of paranormal romance and always delivers a great story.

Donna 4 starsI enjoyed the second addition to this series, and as always, it has me wanting to learn more about the Mountain Mercenaries. I’m glad it wasn’t as sadistically graphic as book one – it still had the danger surrounding a Chloe’s struggle for freedom, but it was more palatable for me. Chloe was a woman in need of rescue. She was a bit naïve, so I was happy to see her stronger-self evolve through the story. Ronan was of course a handsome, hot and strong man. This book had him gentle and easy going with Chloe – I liked that. It made the progression of their romance more believable. Granted, Chloe’s situation stretched my imagination, but this IS fiction and I let myself go with it. This novel met my need for hot passion, action and suspense…making me impatient for the next installment.

I enjoyed this romantic suspense novel. Yes, it had a few spots that I questioned about the characters knowing things suddenly and a few other things in the storyline. However, the story held me, and I was soon caught up in it. Blue was the classic emotionally closed-off-hot-guy trying to keep Everly at arm’s length. Luckily enough emotion showed throw on the introspection, otherwise I wouldn’t have liked him much. Everly was a damsel in distress but had strength to also handle everything thrown at her. They made a well-matched couple. I would love to spend more time with the Alaska Force group, the brief glimpses showed a fun but odd group with fun banter. I look forward to the next installment.

I truly enjoyed this book. It was a lovely blend of a contemporary romance and romantic suspense, set in a place I want to now live. Maggie and her sister are a hoot and their relationship pulled me in immediately. Granted I was a little disappointed with Maggie’s oblivious attitude when her troubles began, some of her actions were out of character with the situation. Other than that, I loved her. I liked that Luke’s wounded soul didn’t bog him down or the story. It was a part of him that filled out his character and gave him the depth to grab onto the reader. The two of them fit together and made a nice sexy romance. Now I just need to wait for book 2 in the series.

This book is an intense addition to the Leopard Series. Timur is a dark and violent man, but Feehan managed to let us peek at the tenderness deep inside, which made him all the sexier. I loved Ashe. Strong, smart and capable of taking care of herself – especially standing up for her rights in the relationship. The final fight scene was one of my favorites and I wish I could say why without giving too much away. I enjoyed how their relationship grew. It went beyond the simple “mate attraction” and let their human half fall in love.

I’m a fan of Christine Feehan because each series has their own distinct tone. This series shows us the violent and dangerous world of these Leopards, blended with their intense erotic love lives. The beginning seemed to drag for me, but it sure made up for it, and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Overall it was a sexy and pulse-pumping ride of a story.

I enjoyed this second chance romance. BEAUTIFUL SINNER is the fifth book in Sophie Jordan’s contemporary series, The Devil’s Rock Series. I didn’t read the previous books before picking up this book, but plan on reading them next because I enjoyed this one. Cruz and Gabriella’s story was full of passion, angst and smoking hot romance. There were a couple of things that Gabriella did that annoyed me, but I still rooted for her. I recommend this book for romance lovers looking for a hot second chance romance.

Illium turned in a direction that would take them to the Catskills if they kept on going.
Sweeping closer to him, she said, “You just want to fly?”
Hair rippling in the quiet but cutting wind, he twisted down in a complicated fall before flying back up to her side. She laughed at his showing off. That was Illium. An angel of violent power who had a heart that might almost be mortal. And, these days, she could appreciate his tricks again. Not a single angel in the city had been ready to witness his acrobatics in the immediate aftermath of the day he’d crashed out of the sky.
Elena would never forget her screaming fear.
To his credit, Illium had flown with absolute discretion for months, letting the memory dull and fade.
When he returned to her side today, his face was flushed, the gold of his eyes rich. “Sky’s too beautiful to shut ourselves away in a club.”
“Just don’t forget I’m not as fast as you. Also, I’m currently lame.”

This book was epic! I couldn’t put it down! ARCHANGEL’S PROPHECY is the is the eleventh book in Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series. Each book in this paranormal romance series can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading them in order to fully enjoy the series storyline. Raphael and Elena’s story kept me glued to the pages and gave me all the feels. It has a cliffhanger but not the kind of cliffhanger that makes wants to throw my book against the wall. I just can’t wait to for the next book. Nalini Singh always creates stories with unique worlds I can get lost in for a while. I highly recommend this series for readers looking for an addicting paranormal romance series.

imageI’ve been writing as long as I can remember and all of my stories always held a thread of romance (even when I was writing about a prince who could shoot lasers out of his eyes). I love creating unique characters, love giving them happy endings and I even love the voices in my head. There’s no other job I would rather be doing. In September 2002, when I got the call that Silhouette Desire wanted to buy my first book, Desert Warrior, it was a dream come true. I hope to continue living the dream until I keel over of old age on my keyboard.

I was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand. I also spent three years living and working in Japan, during which time I took the chance to travel around Asia. I’m back in New Zealand now, but I’m always plotting new trips. If you’d like to see some of my travel snapshots, have a look at the Travel Diary page (updated frequently).

So far, I’ve worked as a lawyer, a librarian, a candy factory general hand, a bank temp and an English teacher and not necessarily in that order. Some might call that inconsistency but I call it grist for the writer’s mill.
