Wow! This was one hot honeymoon! The Chalet is a novella in The Submissive Series by Tara Sue Me and should be read as part of the series and not as a standalone. This novella is the story of Nathaniel and Abby’s wedding and honeymoon. The Submissive Series is well written, the characters are great, the sex is hot and the love story is romantic. It’s a Dom and submissive love story that will captured and hold your attention. I really enjoyed it and recommend it for erotica lovers. I’ll be looking forward to Tara Sue Me’s next book in this exciting series.

The day couldn’t have been more perfect. Everyone we cared for and loved was in attendance to share our day. But best of all, Nathaniel and I were finally married.
I’m not sure I’d ever seen Nathaniel look more handsome. It wasn’t the tux or his gorgeous eyes and chiseled jaw; it was the emotion visible in his expression: the love, joy, and overwhelming look of bliss. He was merely handsome the day I met him. Today, he was breathtaking.
We held hands as we walked to the back room of the church where I’d gotten ready. Everyone else was on their way to the reception hall in the city, but we had a few minutes before our hired car arrived to pick us up.
When we made it into the room, he closed the door behind us, turned the lock, and pushed me against a wall.
“Abby West,” he almost growled.
“Mmm.” I trailed a finger down his chest. “Say it again.”
“Abby West,” he repeated before teasing me with a soft kiss.
My hand made it to his waist. “Now say it the other way.”
His eyes grew dark with pent-up desire as he spoke the name he used when I wore his collar. “Abigail West.”
My knees threatened to give way. Holy hell, what it did to me when he called me Abigail.
“How long until the car gets here?” I asked, desperate to have his hands on me.
“Not long enough. Just enough time for this.”
He dipped his head and his lips met mine in a kiss that was long and deep and gave a hint as to what would follow. He entwined our fingers, and pulled our hands above our heads. His lips were strong and insistent, but I knew mine were just the same.
“We could skip the reception,” I suggested when he finally pulled back.
“Don’t tempt me,” he said. “As it is, that gown is temptation enough. Is that a corset?”
Sweet, sweet victory.
“It is.” I gave him a teasing smile. “I hoped you’d like it. Felicia had to lace me up in it.”
His finger danced along the bodice. “Is that so?”
“Yes. In fact, I doubt I can get out without help.” I batted my lashes at him. “Think I’ll be able to find someone willing to give me a hand?”
“Oh, trust me, I’ll get you out. It’ll be like unwrapping a present.”
“If I had a decent change of clothes, I’d let you do it right now.”
He shook his head. “If I did it right now, there’s no way we’d make it to the reception.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing.”

A delicious edition to the Guardians of the Realms series that started out with a bang and kept on going. I normally get frustrated when a book takes a while for the consummation of the relationship but the buildup was so hot and erotic that I didn’t mind a bit. Conn is as hot as they come and I really like him. I’m glad that Dacia was a good fit for him. As for the story, there wasn’t as much intrigue and battles as some of the other books but I didn’t even realize it until late in the story. I think that was due to learning about Dacia, her family and where this may all lead. Despite a few typographical errors, this was a fun, hot and engaging book.

Note: Donna tried this book first and was unable to finish it because of the PTSD issues in it. Here’s her thoughts.
As the wife and mother of PTSD sufferers, I cannot in good conscience finish this story. The author writes very well and I found the surface story intriguing but feel that PTSD needs professional medical help, not broken down and rebuilt by a Dom.

Hillbilly Rockstar is absolutely amazing! This might be my favorite in Lorelei James’s Blacktop Cowboys series! Hot, exciting and sexy! Devin is a hot country music star. A star that seems to have some random threats aimed at him. When his record label insists on a bodyguard there was no way he could have predicted a lady would be assigned and his ego had a hard time accepting it. Instant attraction and sizzling chemistry makes it hard to fight the attraction and once Liberty finally gives in to Devin they could not keep their clothes on and their hands off of each other. Liberty knew there was no way their relationship would ever be more than the time they had together on the tour, but she was going to enjoy every second. Nothing had ever felt as right and as real, but will their careers tear them apart? I highly recommend this new addition to Lorelei James’s Blacktop Cowboys series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend starting at the beginning. They’re all great!

A must read series! Loved it! Addicted is the conclusion to Ruined, and kept me on the edge of my seat. Chloe and Ethan’s obstacles seem impossible, but their love for each other is deep. Ethan has to learn to trust. Trust both himself and Chloe. Chloe learns that the man responsible for the misery in her life is Ethan’s half brother. She is not sure she can face Ethan without being reminded of the horrible things his half brother did to her. She is also not sure she can live without Ethan. They complete each other. Will love be enough? Or will their pasts tear them apart? This is a smoking hot love story that I highly recommend.

Excerpt 5: Broken

“There is no way to fix this, Ethan!” I bring my hands up and shove at his chest, hard.This time, he stumbles back, though I know it’s more from the emotional impact of the blow than it is from the blow itself. “There is no way to rewrite the past.
“I told you when we met that I was broken. I told you that you weren’t going to be able to fix me.”
“You’re not broken, baby.You’re not.” There are tears in his eyes, tears in his too-thick voice, and it hurts. Oh God, it hurts so badly to see him like this. To know that I’ve caused it, that I’ve reduced this strong, beautiful man to this when all he’s ever been is kind to me. It’s a blade deep inside me, an open, aching wound that can’t close because the knife keeps twisting, twisting, twisting.
“I am.”
“You’re not. Maybe you were, but you aren’t anymore.I wish you could see yourself the way that I see you.You’re strong, baby, so strong that some days it’s all I can do to believe that you’re mine. That I’m the one who gets to touch and kiss and hold you.”

What starts off as a fling and only about sex for Amanda quickly turns into something more with Jake. He walked away the first time when Amanda couldn’t open up. When they reconnect after 2 years their chemistry is impossible to resist. Jake and Amanda heat each other up to near boiling, but can Jake teach her to love before it’s too late? I really loved their story and highly recommend this sexy fighter romance.

A smoking hot erotic romance! Book three once again throws you into the dangers and intrigue of the Guardian’s lives. They’re surrounded by evil at every turn but meet it head on. A true blending of different personalities and strengths that is written smoothly so that you truly believe they have been together for centuries. I usually don’t like the “fated mate you have no choice” storylines but in this series it works. Amidst all the battles and delving into the other character’s lives, they manage to meet their destiny together in true Guardian fashion. Did I mention it is hot? Without giving anything away, I’ll just say that I loved the water scenes. I could not put it down.
