A sexy dragon shifter romance where the hero looks like Thor? Yes, please! How could I not enjoy his story? This is the second book in Susannah Scott’s dragon shifter series and is set in a Vegas casino. The dragons can hide in plain site in the magic filled city. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters in Stop Dragon My Heart Around. Tee is a casino hostess that works for Leo who has been in love with Leo since she met him. While Leo wants Tee he doesn’t think she is his mate and she has to fight to get Leo to admit his feelings for her. Their chemistry together heated up the pages. I can’t wait for the next book in the series! I recommend this series for readers looking for a steamy dragon shifter romance that is a quick read. This book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend starting with the first book to enjoy the entire series.

“I told you we’d see celebrities here!” Trixie exclaimed and squeezed the brunette woman’s bare arm.

“Celebrities?” Tee asked in confusion.

“It’s that hotty superhero with the hammer.” Angie pointed at Leo. Her mouth hung open to show a brass tongue piercing.

“Thor,” Trixie whispered and smacked her gum again. “I bet he has a big ole hammer too.”
Beside her, Leo smiled and shrugged, like he had some super hero secret he couldn’t share.

Ridiculous.

“This is not Thor,” Tee said with an uncomfortable laugh. Next to the diminutive young women, she felt gawky. She straightened her stooping shoulders and stretched to her full height. Then, she gave the two a smile she hoped conveyed patient helpfulness.

Leo was tall, even taller than her, with blondish hair that brushed his shirt collar. His eyes were deep set like the actor’s, and he definitely had the forearms and muscle packed in all the hunky places. But he was so much more than some hammer-throwing cartoon.

He was Leo. He was real, and she’d wanted him from the first moment he’d walked toward her across the Bellagio foyer. Then he’d smiled at her, and her heart had done a ridiculous loop-de-loop and she’d been lost.

“Just answer me one question and I’ll never bring this up again.”

“All right.” Leo looked relieved.

Tee stepped closer to him so the front of their bodies touched. Leo leaned against the elevator wall away from her, but not before she felt the evidence of his desire. “Do you want me?”

He dropped fisted hands from his pockets. “No.”

“You’re lying.” She leaned against him, feeling the heat of him down the front of her body. “Why would you lie about something that’s so easy to disprove?”

“You said one question.”

His denial fired through her doubt. She knew he wanted her. The heat of his body touched her bare legs, and an achy need tightened her spine, stretching her closer to his mouth.
“Then what I wear or don’t wear shouldn’t bother you at all.” She stepped close enough to feel the fabric of his suit on her bare legs. Feel the bulge of aroused man between his legs. She put one arm on either side of him, caging him. “My being this close to you shouldn’t bother you at all either.”

“It doesn’t.” He shoved his arms between them and raised his head so she saw the underside of his chin. He hadn’t shaved. The stubble of his beard poked through his skin, and she wanted to kiss it, to taste the slight saltiness.

She put her lips to the juncture of his jaw and ear.

BDB fans wait impatiently all year for the next book in this incredible series and The King did not disappoint! I loved it! Without giving too much away because these books are best read spoiler free we got to hear Wrath’s parent’s story and I completely fell in love with his father. We also got the side stories of three other potential couples. I’m looking forward to all of them. J.R. Ward announced at her signing that the next book will be titled The Shadows and will include Trez and iAm’s stories. I loved this second look at Wrath and Beth’s relationship, all the hotness that comes with it and their struggle with whether to have a baby. This series is so incredibly addicting and I think it’s because it’s emotional, action packed, suspenseful and incredibly hot. They always leave me wanting more and The King was no exception. I can’t wait for the next book!

I truly enjoyed the book and was unable to put it down. I don’t want to give too much away on the story but the intrigue and emotional situations had me tense one moment and relieved the next. Which is always a good thing. I loved Wrath’s father! I will however, go out on a limb and say that I almost wish she had written Wrath and Beth as a side story and focused on someone new. Or narrowed the number of side-stories down to just a few, so those stories could be told in greater detail. That being said, I laughed, cried and bit my lip on more than one occasion and I want to read it again soon. It’s a shame that we have to wait a year to see what happens to them all.

What an amazing emotional journey. I could not put this book down. Julie became curious about the BDSM world because her best friend was a submissive, but she wasn’t sure if it was anything more the just curiosity until she met Daniel. Julie met Daniel when he came into her flower shop and she was immediately captivated by him. Daniel couldn’t get her off his mind and eventually asked her to go on a date. The date ended up being the best night of Julie’s life, and left her wanting more. Julie’s best friend talked Julie into going to a BDSM meeting, and she found Daniel there and was shocked to learn he was not only part of the BDSM world, he was one of the head masters. Julie and Daniel embarked on an emotional journey where Julie had to decide if she would fit into Daniels world or discover if his needs be too much for her. This was a hot erotica romance!

What a Woman Wants is a fun romance that kept me smiling and laughing throughout the story. This is the first book in Judy Fennell’s The Manly Maids Series. It’s starts off with a poker game between 3 brothers and their little sister. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the characters at first because the brothers irritated me with their thinking when it came to allowing their little sister to participate in their manly poker game. The brothers lose to their sister though and have to deliver on the bet by working for their sister’s company, Manly Maids. And yes that is exactly what it sounds like. Hunky guys clean your house for you! Ummmm yep sign me up for that service. I really enjoyed the story and I ended up really liking the characters in this book. I will be looking forward to the rest of the brothers getting their books in this fun new romance series.

I have been writing for as long as I can remember, winning my first writing award in a second grade Caldecott Medal contest. Readers’ Digest gave me my very first publishing credit in April, 1994, and I was hooked. I seemed to have followed writing contests around, being a finalist in such online contests as American Title III, sponsored by Romantic Times BOOKreview Magazine and Dorchester Publishing, and two First Chapters contests, sponsored by Gather.com and Simon & Schuster/Pocket Books.

My imaginary friend was Casper the Friendly Ghost. The little ghoul even had a special place set for him at our dinner table and got blamed for many of my childhood mishaps. I grew up watching Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie and The Addams Family–my mom looked like Elizabeth Montgomery and I had a special Barbie outfit that looked like Morticia Addams’ dress. My favorite books are Bewitching by Jill Barnett and A Knight In Shining Armor, by Jude Devereaux, so it should come as no surprise that I like to write tongue-in-cheek lighthearted paranormals.

I love pop culture and manipulating language, so you’ll find lots of puns, double entrendre, plays-on-words, alliteration, clichés, and twisting of phrases, as well as several one-liners in my stories that give me a few chuckles. I studied Spanish at Penn State (Go Lions!), lived in Spain, and traveled throughout that beautiful country.

I’ve always written and still have my journal from fourth grade where, even then, my stories were full of fantastical creatures, whimsy, and magic. I wrote my first romance in 9th grade and still have that story in my memory chest. Even back then I dreamed of being a writer.

Now with kids, a husband, a house, a social life (Go Survivor Girls!), two cocker spaniels named Vixen and Raven, and a kitten named Pagan who won’t come near me unless I’ve got food, I get to live my dream of being a writer!

I am in love with this series! Desiree is a sexy Hollywood star filming her latest movie on Logan’s land. Logan is perfectly happy living on his forty thousand acre ranch, but didn’t mind leasing a portion of his land for filming. He figured his land was big enough that he wouldn’t even know the cast was there until he ran into Desiree. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Since he didn’t do relationships and she was only there temporarily he figured if he avoided her he would be fine. Desiree had other plans. Logan was the most rugged, handsome and infuriating man she had ever met. If only that made her want him less. She could tell he was attracted to her, but he could do nothing about it. Desiree thought she had nothing to lose by throwing herself at him and maybe they could enjoy some no strings, smoking hot sex, but neither realized by catching her both of their hearts might be in jeopardy. Hope Ignites can be read as a stand alone, but I love the series and recommend reading the first book as well.

REVIEW:
A fun and chaotic reunion with the Red Team leading up to Kit and Ivy’s wedding. I enjoyed how the author sewed up some seams and gets us ready for the next book. I especially loved the bachelorette party and the steps to banish bad memories in the house. I did get a bit peeved at Kit for doing what he did and keeping it from Ivy. He would have had to do a lot of groveling and promising to make it up to me. That being said, it was a nice lighthearted visit to the Team and I can’t wait for book #4.

Theirs to Cherish is a scorching hot new addition to Shayla Black’s Wicked Lovers series. Each book can be read as a stand alone so you do not need to read them in order to enjoy the books. Theirs to Cherish opens up with a scene in Club Dominion and things heat up and continue to burn up the pages through out the book. There is also a lot of action, mystery, danger and emotion in this book to make it a great story. The struggle to protect Callie brings the two men Callie is in love with together. I thought it was a beautiful love story. Sometimes erotica romances leave out the love story, but Theirs to Cherish had everything I look for in a great erotica romance. I recommend this book and look forward to the next release in the Wicked Lovers series.

A lovely feel-good romance full of good friends, laughter and love. Bellamy and Shane made a perfect couple even though he should have seen she would understand his secret a lot sooner. That being said, they made the road to discovery quite enjoyable. This is the kind of book to snuggle under a warm blanket with and leave the problems of the world behind.
