BOOK DESCRIPTION:

AN ALL-NEW PLAY-BY-PLAY NOVELLA

All Elizabeth and Gavin Riley want for Christmas is a baby. Despite over a year of trying, conception hasn’t been successful. But for a high-achiever like Elizabeth, she must succeed at everything. That means making the very most of every opportunity with her husband. And when it comes to nonstop sex Gavin’s not really complaining. Exhausted, maybe…

Unfortunately, this holiday season they’re not exactly given a lot of private time. Elizabeth is hosting the holiday, Gavin’s sister is getting married, and the house is wall-to-wall with family. For Elizabeth and Gavin the nights may be chilly, but the urge is still hot. And they’re not about to let any distraction get in the way of their necessary pleasures during a holiday game that yields so many unexpected surprises.

Includes a preview of Jaci Burton’s upcoming novels Melting the Ice and Hope Flames.

REVIEW:

Liz and Gavin want to have a baby. In this short book they make every effort to make it happen. With a cute story woven between a lot of hot sex it was a hot and quick read. Jaci Burton knows how to write great sex scenes and she didn’t disappoint in this book. I look forward to more books in this series.

Play by Play Series by Jaci Burton

» The Play by Play series is a steamy, sexy peek into the world of sports as seen through the Riley family. Mick Riley is a professional football player, his brother Gavin plays baseball. Their sister Jenna runs the family sports bar and doesn’t want anything to do with any guy involved with sports. Their parents are heavily involved in their lives and it’s a loving, tight knit family.

And I’m expanding the Play by Play series to include more characters beyond the Riley family. Hot, sexy, talented men who bonded together at college and remained friends beyond. I hope you’re going to love these men as much as you’ve loved and embraced my Riley family.

» I love sports. I have mad love for football, both pro as well as college. Come Fall you’ll find me planted in front of the television on the weekends to watch the Oklahoma Sooners play on Saturday and the St. Louis Rams play on Sunday. I grew up in St. Louis so Cardinals baseball has always been a big part of my life (Cardinals football was, too, before they moved to Arizona). I still remember as a kid watching one sport on television while my dad would listen to the other sport on the radio. I’m a big fan of NASCAR racing, and world cup soccer. My older son played soccer from the time he was five years old all the way through varsity soccer in high school. While I can’t catch a ball, kick a ball or throw a ball worth a damn, I love to watch it all.

» So having the chance to write a sports series has been a dream come true for me. And what better way to showcase my love for all things sports than to write this series. Hot, sexy, determined to have it all—their successes and their failures pave the way to the biggest win of their lives—that elusive happily ever after.

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

Bad boy Neil Harrison may have sexy body and an even sexier smile, but there’s no way in hell architect Carson Kelly is falling for the elusive bachelor. For starters, he’s her boss, and getting intimately involved with the infuriating alpha male could be a career-killer. And secondly, he’s battling personal demons in one of the most dangerous ways possible: illegal street racing. After a friend’s tragic death years ago, Carson swore she’d never get involved in that life again.

Neil knows Carson’s keeping secrets and he’s determined to uncover all of them…even if he has to seduce them out of her. But as their antagonistic work relationship ignites a passionate affair, Carson must decide if protecting Neil from his need for speed is the perfect outlet for her own restless desire, or if they’re on a one-way path to destruction.

REVIEW:

Spectacular book! Neil and Carson’s story had me hooked from the first page. Carson was Neil’s architect and they fought their attraction towards each other until the bitter end. When they were unable to fight it anymore they nearly lit my kindle on fire. This book had the perfect amount of drama, action and passion. I loved the way the author told everyone’s story while still keeping the main story on Neil and Carson. I will absolutely add Gina Gordon to my list of great books!

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

Her sweetest mistake . . .

Cool as a Chicago winter, private events planner Cara DeLuca is a model of self-control . . . until she meets the one temptation she can’t resist: Shane Doyle. The sexy, Irish pastry chef is too hot, too sure, too young, and after a crazy night in Vegas – her new husband. While at first Cara wants nothing more than a way out of her sham marriage to Shane, she soon finds that beneath his farm boy demeanor lies a man who can match her drive, both in and out of the bedroom. How can the wrong guy feel so deliciously right?

. . . Tastes so, so good

Shane has carefully structured his career and life around one goal: connecting with the family that doesn’t know he exists. Marrying a woman with more issues than a magazine stand wasn’t part of the plan, but melting Cara’s icy exterior is so worth the detour. Now as the annulment date nears and long-buried secrets are revealed, Shane will have to fight for the one thing guaranteeing the perfect life he craves . . . the current Mrs. Shane Doyle.

REVIEW:

I had never read any of Kate Meaders books, but it looked interesting so I thought i’d give it a try. All Fired Up is a fantastic story. I loved learning about each of the characters. Shane and Lili started out married in Vegas within hours of meeting. The morning after when they realized what they had done, set the pace for the rest of the book. Watching them getting to know each other while waiting for the annulment process to be complete was emotional. Lili is independent and wanted everyone to think she was strong. Shane wanted to be part of a family. Together they burned up the pages. This is a great read and I will definitely read more of her books.

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

Perfect for readers of Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Rachel Gibson, this sizzling romance tells the story of a sexy small-town mayor and a notorious “bad girl,” who discover that home really is where the heart is.

Monica Appleby is a woman with a reputation. Once she was America’s teenage “Wild Child,” with her own reality TV show. Now she’s a successful author coming home to Bishop, Arkansas, to pen the juicy follow-up to her tell-all autobiography. Problem is, the hottest man in town wants her gone. Mayor Jackson Davies is trying to convince a cookie giant to move its headquarters to his crumbling community, and Monica’s presence is just too . . . unwholesome for business. But the desire in his eyes sends a very different message: Stay, at least for a while.

REVIEW:

Jackson is the Mayor in a small town and Monica is the original wild child. Sparks fly when the two meet. There were so many emotions I felt reading this book. O’Keefe did a great job telling each character’s story without it becoming overwhelming. Watching Jackson and Monica getting to know each other and dying to see how they would overcome their obstacles had me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t want to put the book down.

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

’Tis the season for romance, second chances, and Christmas cheer with this new novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.

Carrie Slayton, a big-city society-page columnist, longs to write more serious news stories. So her editor hands her a challenge: She can cover any topic she wants, but only if she first scores the paper an interview with Finn Dalton, the notoriously reclusive author.

Living in the remote Alaskan wilderness, Finn has written a megabestselling memoir about surviving in the wild. But he stubbornly declines to speak to anyone in the press, and no one even knows exactly where he lives.

Digging deep into Finn’s past, Carrie develops a theory on his whereabouts. It is the holidays, but her career is at stake, so she forsakes her family celebrations and flies out to snowy Alaska. When she finally finds Finn, she discovers a man both more charismatic and more stubborn than she even expected. And soon she is torn between pursuing the story of a lifetime and following her heart.

Filled with all the comforts and joys of Christmastime, Starry Night is a delightful novel of finding happiness in the most surprising places.

REVIEW:

A genuine love story. Carrie’s mission to find and interview the ever evasive Finn pulled at my heart strings. Getting this interview would turn her career around, but it felt like getting this interview would also test her heart. I was Carrie’s private cheerleader throughout this story and could feel every emotion the characters were feeling. Very well written and kept me on the edge of my seat to see how it would turn out between these two.

BOOK DESCRIPTION

USMC helicopter pilot Michael McCade has two goals: Get his damn back into alignment and keep his nose clean until his commanding officer clears him to fly again. The doctor-recommended massage therapy seems like a necessary step toward returning to the cockpit, but when his too-hot-to-handle neighbor, Chloe Kincaid, turns out to be his masseuse, he strays from the straight and narrow in a major way.

Chloe Kincaid is looking for a simple, no strings attached, ego-boosting hook up. But when her positively panty-melting neighbor, USMC Major Michael McCade, (aka Major Hottie), shows up on her massage table, she lets desire get the better of professionalism. Now theyre pretending to be engaged to avoid a whole lot of unanticipated consequences of a momentary lapse in judgment. But can a girl who avoids attachments at all costs fake an engagement to a straight-arrow soldier without falling hard?

REVIEW:

Having never read Samanthe Beck before, I was not sure what to expect. With a hot cover and what sounded like a good story I figured it was worth a shot. I was blown away! Absolutely loved, loved, loved it. I was hooked from the first sentence and I could not get enough of this book. Sexy Chloe and smoking hot Michael nearly set my hair on fire with this book. They met under unlikely circumstances and the passion built from there. Beck created an amazing story of two people that couldn’t be more opposite, that I couldn’t wait to see where they’d end up. I will be looking for more of her books without a doubt. This book should be on my top 10 list.

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

Passions ignite in these all-new stories from four bestselling masters of contemporary romance…

In Jaci Burton’s “Hope Smolders,” struggling divorcee Jane has put her personal life on hold to raise her kids—until she runs into Will, her ex’s former best friend, who convinces her it’s time to start having fun again.

Carly Phillips takes you back to the town of Serendipity, where overworked Alexa has an instant connection with a sinfully sexy football star on the dance floor. A one-night stand evolves into multiple nights when Luke decides to teach the good doctor about his own brand of fun. But when it’s time for him to leave town, will these “Perfect Strangers” be able to say goodbye for good?

In Jessica Clare’s “Legend of Jane,” an intrepid Bloggess catches the eye of local law enforcement when she gets caught trespassing. Luckily, Luanne wouldn’t mind getting handcuffed by Officer Hotness…

Single girl Chelsea is tired of feeling like the fifth wheel on her weekend jaunt to Lake Placid, until she gets stuck out in the cold and finds a muscular knight in shining armor to warm her up—in Erin McCarthy’s “Ice Princess.”

REVIEW:

Hope Smolders by Jaci Burton
I loved Will and Jane’s story. Jane was too busy to date and Will wanted to show her how to have a good time. I loved the sizzling undercurrent you could feel as they got to know each other. I couldn’t wait to see how their story would unfold. Loved it.

Perfect Stranger: A Serendipity Novella by Carly Phillips
A wonderful novella. Carly Phillps never disappoints and she certainly did not here. A quick story about Alexa and Lucas. Hot from beginning to end. Alexa wanted one night to live on the edge. Lucas was taking a night to relax. Fireworks right from the word go.

The Legend of Jane by Jessica Clare
This is the first book I’ve read by Jessica Clare. I thought the main characters story was a bit different. The story started off a little slow, but got better as she got to know ‘Officer Hotness’. I like how once they got to know each other the story took on a romantic flair. The story started out a bit different, but definitely turned out to be a cute story.

Ice Princess by Erin McCarthy
Absolutely loved this story. Chelsea’s sense of humor was laugh out loud funny and Brody was smoking hot. The two of the together made a story that I couldn’t put down. A fast read that made me smile from the quick one liners and made me nearly break out in a sweat from the hot sex.

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

There’s nowhere better to spend the holidays than with New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery in the town of Fool’s Gold, where love is always waiting to be unwrapped…

Noelle Perkins just got a second chance at life, and she intends to make the most of every minute. That’s why she ditched a frustrating legal career to open her own store in Fool’s Gold, California. The Christmas Attic celebrates everything that’s magical about her favorite season. Business is booming, and as a bonus, gorgeous army doctor Gabriel Boylan has offered to help out during the holiday rush.

Gabriel’s memories of Christmas past contain more sour grapes than sugar plums, thanks to a drill sergeant father who ran his home like a boot camp. Spending the holidays with his family while he recuperates from injury sounds as appetizing as last year’s eggnog. Still, there are some enjoyable distractions in town, including sunny, sexy Noelle…and the red-hot mistletoe kisses they can’t stop sharing.

Gabriel didn’t think he was made for happily-ever-afters. But when fate hands you a love as sweet and surprising as this, only a fool could refuse….

REVIEW:

I have enjoyed the Fool’s Gold series from book one. Christmas on 4th Street is book 12.5 and they seem to just keep getting better. Noelle and Gabriel share all of the Christmas magic the town of Fool’s Gold has to offer. As they got to know each other you could sense the under lying passion and it was only a matter of time before they lit the pages on fire. Some parts of the story talking about the town of Fool’s Gold seemed a bit far fetched, but the story of Noelle and Gabriel was all the things Christmas magic is about. I look forward to seeing what will happen next in this quaint little town.

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

Can first love turn into the real deal? Anything can happen in a sizzling new Fool’s Gold story from New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery.

Isabel Beebe thinks she’s cursed in the romance department. Her teenage crush, Ford Hendrix, ignored all her letters. Her husband left her for another…man. So Isabel has come home to dust off her passion for fashion and run the family bridal shop until her parents are ready to sell it. Then she’ll pursue her real dreams. At least, that’s the plan, until sexy, charming Ford returns and leaves her feeling fourteen all over again…..

Seeing Isabel all grown-up hits bodyguard trainer Ford like a sucker punch. Back when heartbreak made him join the military, her sweet letters kept him sane. Now he can’t take his eyes—or his lips—off her. The man who gave up on love has a reason to stay in Fool’s Gold forever—if three little words can convince Isabel to do the same.

REVIEW:

I have been waiting forever to read Ford’s story and Susan Mallery did not disappoint. She even went the extra mile and added Kent’s story to the book. Isabel had been in love with Ford since she was 14 years old. So after seeing him again 14 years later it was instant fireworks, even if Ford didn’t want to admit it. The sex was amazing and the love story was touching. I love that I got to read Kent’s story as well. I love how she incorporated both into this book without making it too much.

Kent never thought he would find that special someone twice in his life. The moment he laid his eyes on Consuelo he was a goner. She tried to fight it by running away, but when something is that powerful she found that running isn’t always the answer. Susan Mallery has made Fool’s Gold the most magical place and I can’t wait to see who strikes it rich with love in her next book.

REVIEW:

Griffin fought what Kate wanted. Kate wanted Griffin. She pulled out all the stops. You could feel the chemistry as they both went after what they wanted…each other, even if only one of them is willing to admit it. I love the real life humor that Jill Shalvis writes into her stories. She makes you feel like you know the characters and you can’t wait to see how everything will turn out. Jill Shalvis is one of my favorite authors. Her books have the most realistic romance and humor, but she may have outdone herself with Rumor Has It. On more than one occasion I found myself laughing out loud.
