THE CHOSEN was incredible! I love this series and devoured THE CHOSEN as soon as I received it. I couldn’t put it down once I picked it up. I cried, I laughed and a couple of times I thought about throwing the book across the room when characters made me angry with them. I always enjoy this series though and when I finish a book in the series I immediately want the next one. A lot of new things were introduced in this release and I can’t wait to see how things will turn out for a couple of the characters. I was left with some questions and J. R. Ward answered a couple of them at her signing but a few will probably have to wait until the next couple books release. The ending felt a little rushed with Xcor, Layla, Qhuinn and Blay. Like a couple of steps were skipped in their story. THE CHOSEN introduced a lot of new directions in the series storyline that I’m really excited about. This series never gets old and it’s always exciting. I highly recommend this entire series for paranormal romance lovers. Each book is a standalone about different couples, but I recommend you read them in order to fully enjoy the series. I can’t wait for the next release!

A: Fair question. In my books, the HEA is never static. If you want to know the answer, I will tell you. (lots of ‘yes’es) Ok, gonna pull a Bill Clinton and ask, what’s the definition of cheating?
(answers varied from “emotional” to “touching” to “full on f***ing”)
Okaaaay then. No, he doesn’t cheat. I’m not gonna tell you it doesn’t get ugly. But, he does not. Where he and Jane are at, is very real. It’s not just that Jane is busy, but in long term relationships, you can pull apart. Something brings them back together, but they’re going to have to learn this lesson.

Cooper! Yay! I was so excited to read Cooper’s story and it was everything I wanted it to be with all the feels and smoking hot romance. I’ve been obsessed with Erika Kelly’s rock stars since I picked up the her first book. The series features beautiful love stories with hot rock stars. Each book in this series can be read as a standalone but I recommend starting at the beginning because each book features a different band member and Cooper has been in the previous books. Cooper’s book, MORE THAN A FEELING, is the fourth and final book in the series and I’m really going to miss the guys. This was a great conclusion though and I loved Cooper and Daisy together! I enjoy second chance romances and this was a great one about returning home and reconnecting with a high school crush. I highly recommend the entire Rock Star Romance series. It’s one of my favorite series and Erika Kelly is on my must read author list because she always delivers a great romance book that leaves me smiling and satisfied.  I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next. Whatever she decides to write, I’ll be reading.

Daisy’s fingers trailed across his shoulders as she breezed past him. Her warm vanilla and honey scent swirled in her wake, and he felt like that boy all over again who’d lived in a state of hyper awareness around her. The boy who’d noticed the way her dark hair pooled onto the desk as she’d hunch forward to write, her fingers curled around a pencil. The way the tendons in her neck strained when she’d hit and held a high note. Her burst of laughter in the music room had made him stop whatever he’d been doing just to witness her joy.

He’d hoarded all those images, those sacred moments, to pull out and comfort him as he lay alone in the dark woods, waiting for his home to be safe enough to go back inside.

She would never know it, but she’d been his saving grace.

Taking her seat across from him, she set two little pots on the table. Her vivid blue eyes sparkled in the candlelight. “Try this.” She held a spoon out to him.

Letting her feed him was just too damn intimate, so he took it from her and fed himself. Creamy dark chocolate filled his senses. “Mousse?” Although it was denser, the chocolate more velvety. Richer. “It’s good.”

“It’s a Pot de Crème.” She scooped another mound for herself. Turning the spoon upside down, she brought it to her mouth, closing her eyes when her tongue touched the chocolate. She moaned, and her tongue swept across her bottom lip.

Desire surged through him, and he couldn’t help wondering if she’d look like that in bed. If she’d go all slack and dreamy-eyed when he sucked a nipple into his mouth.

His blood rose at the image of Daisy naked beneath him, back arching, her hands digging into his hair, holding him to her as if she never wanted him to go away.

She opened her eyes and licked the damn spoon. “I had my mom make it just for you.” The silky fabric of her shirt draped over her breasts, accentuating their round fullness. Desire pulsed through him.

Jesus, would you stop already?

“Let’s try this one.” She slid the edge of her fork into the cake, a cream-covered strawberry sliding out. “It’s my favorite.” The Montana sapphire studs glittered in her ears, and her lush mouth curved into a smile. His dick went hard.

He accepted the fork, but even when the cake and cream hit his tongue he couldn’t taste a thing. Because the only thing in his mind, heart, and body was the primal, urgent need to taste her.

All that teenage longing came roaring back. He wanted her more than ever. And not because she was beautiful and had a body his hands were dying to explore, but because every single cell in his body reacted to her. Wanted her. Yearned for her.

And this was why he’d never come back to Snowberry. He didn’t want to yearn for the things he couldn’t have. Didn’t want to wait for his mother to give him a crumb of her attention. Didn’t want to be around these people who’d only ever looked at him with disgust.

“What do you think? Delicious?” Daisy’s voice yanked him out of the negativity.

And he was damn glad. Because his past didn’t matter anymore. He was a man now. He’d made his way in the world. And he had a chance to be that man around Daisy. His gaze on her mouth, he said, “Hell, yes.”

I love getting lost in Lora Leigh’s Breed world and WAKE A SLEEPING TIGER was a great new addition to the series. It had new twists and turns that added suspense to the story and kept me flipping the pages. This series never gets old and I always look forward to picking up a new release because I know I’m going to get a great story and a hot romance. The Breed series is about genetically engineered human/ animals that were raised in labs and it is set in the future. If you’re new to this series, the beginning of the series is currently unavailable because it was published with a different publisher, but Lora Leigh plans to rerelease them. I started with MEGAN’S MARK, the first book published with Penguin, and that would work for new readers. I recommend reading them in order to follow the series storyline, but each book can be read as a standalone. If you’re following the series, Lora Leigh announced that Cassie’s book is next! I’m so excited and can’t wait! I highly recommend this series for paranormal lovers. It’s a suspenseful and highly erotic paranormal romance series. The Breeds are addicting!

 “You’re full of sh*t!” I said, waving my hand grandly. My drink sloshed and I licked the side of the cup, because this whiskey was way too good to waste even a single drop. “Wonder Woman is better than Batman. She’s got real power, not just fancy toys. Although she has those, too, which means anything Batman can do, she can do better.”
“Nope,” Shade said, shaking his head seriously. “She’s hot, I’ll give her that, but he’d take her in a fair fight.”
I held up a hand for him to wait as I polished off my booze.
“No way. She’s a goddess of war and she’s one of the best hand-to-hand fighters in history. She’s got an invisible jet, for God’s sake. How can you compete with that? All he has is a bunch of money and the stupid Batmobile.”
“Hand over the cup,” Shade said, narrowing his eyes.
“Why?” I asked, narrowing mine right back. I was good and drunk now, and I wasn’t sure I was ready to be done for the night.
“Demonstration,” he replied. “C’mon. Or are you chicken?”
“What are we, kindergartners?”
“You’re the one insisting Wonder Woman can take Batman,” he replied. “Chicken.”
Then he leaned toward me, raising a single finger to poke me in the center of my chest. Not copping a feel or anything remotely sexual, either. This was pure taunt. I handed him the cup and he tossed it on the floor, nearly falling off the bed in the process. I smirked—guess I wasn’t the only drunk one. Then he started listing to the side and I lunged for him, grabbing his shirt to keep him from going over.
Shade caught my arm, using the momentum to pull me onto his body with sudden force. My hands hit his chest and I raised my head to stare at him, stunned.
“What the hell are you doing?” I asked. Shade wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me tight to his body.
“Demonstrating.”

I’m obsessed with Reapers and I loved Shade’s story! SHADE’S LADY is a novella in Joanna Wylde’s Reaper’s MC Series but can be read as a standalone. If you haven’t read the series this novella would be a great book to start with to introduce you to the Reapers. Be prepared to grab up the rest of the series after you read this one though because they’re highly addictive. SHADE’S LADY was an exciting and sexy read that I couldn’t put down. I highly recommend the entire series. If you’re starting with this novella I’d recommend following the reading order and starting from the beginning after you read this one. The rest of the series has characters that show up throughout the series and follow a storyline. The Reapers are hot bad boy bikers that fall hard when they find their Old Ladies. I love them all!

Joanna Wylde started her writing career in journalism, working in two daily newspapers as both a reporter and editor. Her career has included many different jobs, from managing a homeless shelter to running her own freelance writing business, where she took on projects ranging from fundraising to ghostwriting for academics. During 2012 she got her first Kindle reader as a gift and discovered the indie writing revolution taking place online. Not long afterward she started cutting back her client list to work on Reaper’s Property, her breakout book. It was published in January 2013, marking the beginning of a new career writing fiction.

“Damn it,” she hissed.
She had blood dripping from her right hand and the other was balled into a fist, ready to fight. Rena McHale was every bit as beautiful in person as she had been in the dreamrealm.
Scratch that. More so. The woman was breathtaking.
Chestnut-colored hair cut in a chin-length bob and highlighted with bright-red streaks framed the determined expression on her oval-shaped face. Irritation and a hint of surprise danced in her brown eyes, which were flecked with gold. She was dressed in a simple blue suit with a crisp, white shirt unbuttoned just enough so he could see the curve of her cleavage.
“Staring at my boobs after you barge into my office is a ballsy move, my friend.”
Zander flicked his gaze back to hers, and the moment their eyes locked, it sent a shock straight to his dick. Son of a bitch. That’ll wake a man up. He bit back the urge to swear out loud. The woman was bleeding and he was ogling her like a creep. He made a mental note to keep his eyes on her face.
That wouldn’t be a problem.
“Sorry,” Zander murmured. He took a step back and raised both hands as if in surrender but pointed at the blood dripping onto the floor. “You want some help with that, or do you just wanna bleed to death?”
She sighed. “That seems a little dramatic.”
She arched one dark eyebrow and stepped over the broken remnants of what looked like a glass of water before grabbing a roll of paper towels off a file cabinet. She tore off a large wad and immediately pressed it to her wound while eyeing him warily.
“How can I help you?”
“You might need stitches,” he said quietly. “There’s a lot of blood.”
“It looks worse than it is. I’ll throw a couple of butterfly bandages on it.” She gave him a quick once-over but didn’t make a move toward him. “I heal like a champ, but thanks for your concern.”
He bet she did. Amoveo were known for their ability to heal swiftly. Even a hybrid like Rena would enjoy that particular gift. A hybrid. He still couldn’t wrap his brain around this piece of the puzzle. His brows knit together as she pulled a first aid kit from the bottom file cabinet drawer and swiftly tended to the cut on her hand while keeping one eye on him.
When had the Amoveo started breeding with humans, and why the hell doesn’t she know what she is? Where were her people? He glanced around the office. There were no personal pictures anywhere. It was sparse and strictly business.
This was going to be more difficult than he thought.
“Do you always barge into people’s offices, sir?”
“Only when I hear a woman scream.” He dropped his hands to his side and kept his voice low. “Breaking glass and screaming don’t usually bring good news.”
“True,” she said with a small smile. “Now that you know I’m not a damsel in distress and only a little clumsy, tell me who you are and why you’re here.”
“It’s my brother.”
“Hold on.” Rena tossed the bloodied paper towels and bandage wrappers into the garbage can next to the desk. “Let’s start with your name.”
“Zander.”
She smirked and gingerly smoothed the bandage over the side of her palm. “Last name?”
“Lorens.” He stuck out his left hand and slowly closed the space between them. The light, sweet scent of pears wafted over him, and he couldn’t help but breathe a little deeper as he got closer. It was a stark contrast to the city she lived in. “Zander Lorens.”
Rena shook her head and laughed while waving her injured right hand. He stilled as the light, musical sound of her amusement hit him in seductive waves. His gut tightened with need, which was disarming and disconcerting.
“Right.” He cleared his throat, quickly dropping his arm. “Sorry.”
Just as well. What was he thinking? Touching her would not be a smart move. Zander’s body was sending signals that were confusing the hell out of his brain. He would keep his distance. Nature had messed up once before and it was up to him to make it right.

I’m so excited about this new spinoff series! UNDISCOVERED is the first book in Sara Humphreys’ Amoveo Rising series featuring a new Dragon Clan that is set in her Amoveo world. I would rommend reading the Amoveo Legends series before starting this one, but it can be read as a standalone. I’m obsessed with dragon shifters and I love this new spinoff storyline. UNDISCOVERED has plenty of action, mystery and smoking hot romance. Zander and Rena were explosive together and I loved their story. I highly rcommend this series for paranormal romance lovers. I can’t wait to get my hands on the the next book!

I loved this book! EVERY LITTLE THING is the second book in Samantha Young’s The Hart’s Boardwalk Series. I’d recommend reading THE ONE REAL THING before picking up this one because the characters meet in the first book. Each book in this series is a  standalone about a different couple in the seaside town Samantha Young created. When I picked up EVERY LITTLE THING I felt like I was back in the town, revisiting the characters and catching up on their lives. Bailey and Vaughn are the main couple in this book and they start off as enemies and turn into lovers. Their chemistry was off the charts and I really enjoyed their interactions. The romance heated up and turned into something really beautiful. This series is one I’d recommend to all romance lovers. Samantha Young always delivers a great love story.

I really enjoyed this hot new release in Shayla Black’s Wicked Lovers Series. HOLDING ON TIGHTER is the twelfth book in the series and while some of the characters show up throughout the series, each book is a standalone that features different main characters. I always prefer to read a series in order, but you can read these books in any order and be fine. HOLDING ON TIGHTER is a scorching hot romance with some suspense. It took me a while to warm up to the heroine and Heath did a few things that annoyed me, but I understood why by the end of the book. Who doesn’t love a sexy Brit? Yum! I recommend this book for romantic suspense/ erotica lovers. When I’m in the mood for erotica romance that has a suspenseful storyline I reach for one of Shayla Black’s books. Her books always satisfy my addiction.

She refused to stroll down that memory lane. “Does it matter?”
“I daresay it does. But we’ll come back to that. If you were merely mistrustful of men, you would have waited until tomorrow and delivered a well-placed warning to keep me away from your sister.
Instead, you came after me. And when you found me with another woman, your temper flared. If I merely lived up to your expectations of being a womanizing prick, that shouldn’t make you angry at all, simply smug at being right. But you were livid. Apprehension raced through her veins. He was uncomfortably close to the truth. “You’re egotistical.”

She had to get out of here. She’d overplayed her hand and needed to regroup, to think about how to treat him tomorrow. The last thing she wanted was for Heath Powell to decide she was a challenge he should convert into his next bed partner after all. Normally, the sexual urges of a man wouldn’t concern her unless she was interested. If so, she found a way to have him for a night or two, then ended it.
Something told her that nothing with Heath would ever be that simple.
But when Jolie turned her back on him and headed for the parking lot, he snaked an arm around her middle and pulled her against his big, steely body. “I never planned to pursue you . . . but I’ve changed my mind.”

DIRTY MONEY was so much fun! It’s the first book in Jessica Clare’s new Roughneck and Billionaires series. I picked it up after I finished reading a really emotional book and it was just what I needed. DIRTY MONEY was fun, sexy and entertaining. I really enjoyed it. Boone and his brothers kept me laughing and I’m hoping the Price brothers will get their own books. They were a little over the top and crazy sometimes but they were definitely entertaining. Boone started off poor, worked hard and struck it rich. He didn’t feel the need to change once he had the money though. He remained the rough around the edges and outspoken man he was before the money. He knows what he wants and always goes for it. Boone and Ivy were perfect for each other and their chemistry was off the charts. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it for readers looking for a sexy and fun romance. Must love rough and dirty talking alphas.

Her face was stunning. Wide smile. White teeth and a good deal of them. Big eyes. Elegant nose. Soft cheekbones. All of this she highlighted with the expert use of makeup from what was clearly a gift of superior genes into something that shone like a Hollywood starlet.
A starlet of a stripper who looked a good deal like Dolly Parton, who also likely got home the night before, earliest, three in the morning, and was right then, only hours later, back on the stage helping another girl by teaching her some moves.
“Marcus, brother,” Smithie’s voice came at him. “You got a problem with the way I do business, and I give you reason to have that problem, then we have a talk. I don’t give you that reason, we don’t have conversations like this one. That’s our deal.”
Marcus listened to him while he watched Daisy talking to the other girl and then she ran across the stage, doing it gracefully in platform sandals, her stone-washed jeans tight on her ass and hips and all the way down her legs. Still, after she ran the four steps, she launched herself high, grabbing on to the pole at least three feet higher than she was, her body swinging around by just her hands.
When the swing ended, she climbed up the pole, hand over hand. Doing this quickly, taking herself up another four feet, she flipped her bottom half over, wrapping her skinny legs around the pole. She dropped back, her hair flowing down, and with her only hold on the pole being her legs, she arched her back and slid down slowly, somehow circling the pole as she did it.
She ended this doing a layout with her hands on the floor, her legs in slow and controlled movements coming over her head one after the other. Her hands pushing off, she was up.
Standing straight with perfect posture.

Cori 5 StarsI loved it! If you’re fan of Kristen Ashley’s Rock Chick Series you already love Daisy and you’ve been asking for her book. I was so excited when it was announced. ROCK CHICK REAWAKENING is a prequel to the Rock Chick Series featuring Daisy and Marcus. You don’t have to read any of the other books before picking this one up. Daisy and Marcus are included throughout the Rock Chick Series and I was kind of already obssesed with Marcus but I seriously loved him after reading this book. I cried, I laughed, I fanned my face and I sighed happily. Daisy and Marcus’s story was emotional, heartbreaking and really hot. It was just a beautiful love story and it’s now one of my favorite Kristen Ashley books. I’ll end up rereading it over and over.  I highly recommend this book and any other Kristen Ashley book for romance lovers. The Rock Chick Series is one of my favorites and if you haven’t read any of Kristen Ashley’s books this one would be a great one to try out.

 Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.

Nothing’s changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. “Are you absolutely sure you want to stay here?” Carly frowned as she brought out a blanket twenty minutes later. “The couch is pretty small. I’m not sure you’ll be comfortable on it.”

Bran was one hundred percent sure he wouldn’t be, but that wasn’t the point. He tugged his shirt over his head and folded it neatly. “I’ve slept in worse places. And I think it’s best I stay here tonight. Unless you want to come home with me.”

He knew she wasn’t going to take that option, but it would be nice. If Drew and Riley and Hatch met her, got to know her, they wouldn’t be so worried about her. All he’d had to do was spend a couple of hours with her to know that she was a deeply loyal woman. All he needed to do was prove he was worthy of that loyalty. She’d been bitten before and she was shy, but the man who gained her trust again would get everything from her.

She deserved to have someone who would watch her back, and that included ensuring that she could sleep the rest of the night. What little of it was left.

If someone showed up on her doorstep, he would take care of them. As viciously as he possibly could. He still intended to write her that check. He would do it because it would bring her peace of mind, but he was going to make sure none of them ever threatened her again. He would handle them in a way that would ensure her safety.

She shook her head. “You said your place is out in Palm Coast. That’s forty minutes away. I have to be at work pretty early in the morning.” She turned and started working on the couch, but not before he’d caught her staring at his chest. She smoothed out a sheet over the leather. “Why all the way out there? Why wouldn’t you set up here in St. Augustine?”

He would have to thank his brother-in-law for all the workouts. It was how they’d bonded. Case Taggart liked to lift weights and he’d brought Bran into his daily routine the last time he was in town. It wasn’t like Bran had been out of shape before, but Case’s daily regime had taken his lanky frame and honed it to something strong and masculine. He wished he could tell her how soft and sexy she looked in her pj’s. She had a robe wrapped around her, but every now and then it slipped open, revealing creamy skin and breasts he would love to get his hands on. He’d spent the majority of his evening watching women strip, but it was Carly in her pink tank top and perfectly respectable pajama bottoms that had his cock engaged. “We have some friends who have a condo out there and it’s outfitted with the best tech possible both computer-wise and security. Also, we thought it would be best if we were close but not too close. Patricia knew our parents quite well. One new person in her life who reminds her of old enemies won’t cause too much stress but if she were to see me and Drew, or worse, Hatch, she would definitely be suspicious. We’re simply being careful.”

“You have your mother’s coloring, but you don’t really look like her. You look more like your dad,” Carly said as she worked a pillow into a soft-looking pillowcase.

“I’m taller than he was, a bit more built. I looked more like him when I was smaller. Take off about thirty pounds of muscle, cut my hair into a military buzz, and put some glasses on me, and I look quite like him. Of course I’ve been told my father had an air of unmistakable genius about him that I don’t have.” Not that Hatch had put it that way. He’d explained that most people didn’t remember Benedict for his looks. They remembered his brilliant brain. “Drew is most like him. Another reason I thought it was better for me to go in instead of him. I think Drew would remind Patricia of our father.”

“I don’t know about that. She’s not very observant. One of the things you need to know about her is that she’s a narcissist. She doesn’t care about anything but herself and her bottom line.” She looked up at him. “Your brother is the man behind 4L?”

Naturally everyone was impressed with a thirty-four-year-old billionaire. “He is. I need you to understand that we have resources that we’ll use to take care of you. You’ll have a job at 4L if you want one. I’ll promise you that right now.”

“You need a personal assistant?” she said, her lips curling slightly.

He frowned because he hadn’t thought she’d ask that question. “No. I don’t really need one, but I promise I’ll find something for you. You won’t be left out in the cold. 4L is a big company and we own a lot of other companies. You would have your pick.”

Actually, Ellie could use a new PA. That wouldn’t be a bad fit. Ellie would be good to Carly and Bran spent a lot of time in New York. He could see her from time to time. He would have to think about it. He didn’t mention it, though, because Ellie’s last assistant had been brutally murdered in front of her. It wouldn’t give Carly great faith in them as a group.

She settled the pillow down and smoothed out the blanket. “I don’t know how I feel about a new job. Not that I’m not happy at the thought of keeping my house, but being a personal assistant wasn’t exactly my life plan. I wanted to write cookbooks. Well, I wanted to start out by editing them and work my way up.”

“It sounds like you want to be a chef.”

Her head shook slightly. “No. It’s different. I don’t want my own restaurant or to be in charge of a kitchen. I want to work at a lifestyle magazine. I love looking at decorating trends and cooking trends. A chef tends to focus on one type of cuisine. I want to try them all, not necessarily be a master at them. I like making people comfortable. At my heart, I’m a homemaker.”

Her home was lovely. The minute he’d walked in he’d felt a certain peace rush over him and not simply because the space was well decorated. Carly herself made a person feel at home.

Even when she was crying on his shoulder. She would probably run as fast as she could if she knew how much that had fed his soul. It wasn’t that he liked watching her cry. He’d enjoyed knowing he was helping her. He’d loved the way she’d clung to him, her arms tight around his body.

He probably shouldn’t tell her that, either.

Bran is my favorite Lawless bother! I loved his story and completely fell in love with him. The Lawless series is a spinoff of Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series. The series will have a book for each of the brothers in the Lawless family, but their sister Mia has a book in the Masters and Mercenaries series, Dominance Never Dies. You don’t have to read it before picking up the Lawless Series, but if you want to follow the complete storyline I’d read it first. The Lawless Series is all about the Lawless siblings seeking vengeance for their murdered parents. Bran is the youngest Lawless brother and Carly is the PA to the woman the Lawless siblings think murdered their parents. Their story was full intrigue, danger, suspense and smoking hot romance. It’s a hot romance series with a mystery that keeps the reader guessing. I highly recommend this series and can’t wait for the oldest brother’s book.
