DRAKON’S PAST was an exciting ride that kept me glued to the pages and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s the fourth book in N.J. Walters paranormal series, Blood of the Drakon. DRAKON’S PAST is Nic, a fire dragon, and Constance, a antique dealer’s story. Danger, romance and sexy dragons make this series addicting! N. J. Walter’s paranormal world of drakons (half dragons/ half men) and the evil knights that hunt them, set in present day, is unique and exciting and she keeps me anticipating more. I highly recommend this series for paranormal romance fans looking for a great dragon shifter series.

Donna review 4.5 stars

This was a fun cohesive anthology by three talented writers. All three stories held the same feeling…part humor and part suspense, so you didn’t have to regroup when starting the next story. I liked that a lot. Eve Langlais’ BEARING HIS SINS had some quirky characters and fun banter. Just when I thought I had things figured out, the author sent a curveball. I liked that, along with the smoking hot romance. Milly Taiden’s BOUGHT BY THE BEAR was a fun, fast-paced sexy romp. The dangerous excitement blended well with the sexy romance between Josie and Xander. I wish it was longer! Kate Baxter’s THE ALPHA AND I, wasn’t as humorous as the others, but it blended so well with the other stories, I didn’t skip a beat. It was a sexy, action packed romance that kept me turning the pages. A nice fast read.

ELIZABETH’S WOLF has been revised and re-released by Berkley just in time for the release of Cassie’s book in September 2018. Cassie’s story begins in ELIZABETH’S WOLF as a little girl and it tells her mother’s story. The Breed series features Cassie in the storyline and readers have read about her growing up throughout the series. The Breed series is about genetically engineered human/ animals that were raised in labs and it is set in the future. ELIZABETH’S WOLF is one of my favorite books in the series and it was fun to revisit the story and prepare for Cassie’s book, CROSS BREED. If you’re new to this series, the beginning of the series is being re-released so you can start at the beginning. I recommend reading them in order to follow the series storyline, but each book can be read as a standalone. The Breed series is suspenseful, emotional and scorching hot. I highly recommend this series for paranormal lovers. You’ll definitely want to binge read the series.

It’s always nice when I like the main characters right off the bat, Annie and Cole gave me that from the beginning. I don’t think Annie needed such an extensive back-story, but it in no way detracted from her personality. She was lovely, and her type of therapy something new for me. Cole had a lot of painful layers, but that made him a wonderful wounded hero for this story. They were a fun couple to read about in this suspenseful mystery. It sure kept me guessing until the end. I liked this fast-paced, sexy romance.

imageI had big plans to do some baking today, but that fell by the wayside when I picked this book up. I love the closeness of the Red Team and their families, it pulls you in and won’t let you go. I did have to work hard in the beginning to get back on track with all the players, groups, factions and relationships – but soon found myself immersed in the story. Owen is the perfect hero to face the turmoil of Addy and her sons. He’s romantic, determined and capable in everything thrown at him. Addy’s character was harder to connect to, due to her life’s circumstances – but they made a great pair and blended in great with the team. Danger, intrigue and romance…it had it all, and I loved it.

I loved this installment in the Ace Security series. Bailey was reeling from bad life decisions that seemed insurmountable until she meets Nathan. I liked that he wasn’t some musclebound Adonis, but rather a geeky math whiz. It made him so appealing and loveable. It was smooth and fast-paced, and ended before I wanted it to. Tense, heartwarming and sexy – all in a nice package. I cannot wait until the next one!

I just love Sandra Hill’s Cajun series, and this one lived up to the rest. It was fun, zany and sexy. I admit that Adam came across as a bit crass in the very beginning, but I soon got to know him, and really liked him. It was fun watching Simone go through her Cajun crazy, surrounded by interesting characters and all of them being chased by Tante Lulu. It’s a fast-paced story that left me smiling.

My life and my books are a celebration of new beginnings. Although I am a livelong writer–I’m the oddball who liked writing essays in school–it wasn’t until the early 1990s that my writing interest turned to novels. Fast forward more than ten years and you will find there is a theme of new beginnings in all my books. Wow, what an exhilarating ride! I loved that Georgia was smart and tough without straying into bitch-mode. She was easy to like and pulled the reader into her life and death situations. Parker was a technology expert and a bit nerdy – I loved him. He managed to remain sexy and manly while deferring to Georgia’s plans when in over his head. Nicely done. Fast paced, dangerous action blending with a sexy romance – a fun read.

I loved this Highlander romance! THE HIGHLANDER’S PRINCESS BRIDE is the third book in Vanessa Kelly’s Improper Princesses Series and can be read as a standalone. I didn’t read the previous books before reading this one but I bought them all and plan to read them because I loved this one so much. THE HIGHLANDER’S PRINCESS BRIDE was so much fun! I loved the characters and the storyline. It had danger, humor, mischief and some hot romance. This book was a feel good romance that left me smiling. I highly recommend this book for historical romance lovers looking for a fun and sexy story. Vanessa Kelly is now on must buy list.

Donna review 4.5 stars

This is a fun, exciting ride through danger and threat. This installment in the Nauti books also lives up to the smoking hot romance they are famous for. My only complaint was that it seemed convoluted in parts, making me re-read to figure who and where we were. Other than that, Angel, Duke and the rest of the MacKay family, kept me glued to the pages.
