This was an enjoyable, light romance. The forced proximity trope was cute and blended the future story together nicely. It wasn’t insta-love between Linc and Hazel, but they were just perfect for each other, didn’t fight the attraction, thus the relationship blossomed quickly into a hot romance. Add foster dogs to the mix, and you have a fun book to get lost in. I also enjoyed the banter and interaction with Linc’s family. I wish they were around more, but glad I had a taste of their relationship. I do have to say that Hazel’s actions during the climax of the story made me groan. It was forced as an almost “I have to have some drama here” situation. It could have been something different to add to the feel of the book instead of detracting. Overall, it is a light and enjoyable story.

This is a lovely, sweet second-chance romance. It has the smoking hot sexiness that we love from Jaci Burton, so don’t worry about that. Kal and Hannah were likeable, and their growing love was believable and nice. They made a great couple, especially when you add her young son in the mix. I liked when all the brothers and friends got together with their fun banter. It was a nice romance, but it felt like I was eavesdropping instead of being pulled into the story.

I enjoyed this introduction to the Boots and Bouquets series. All the characters have an easy camaraderie that makes you believe they’ve known each other for years. I especially like Erin’s relationship with her sisters. All that combined makes a place I wish I belonged.

Erin is easy to relate to and understand her reactions to events happening around her. Jason is the kind of guy I want to snuggle with and call my own. They make a couple that you can’t help but root for. This is a sweet, lovely, and sexy romance that I couldn’t put down. I’m anxious to read book two!

I love this series mainly for the group dynamics and camaraderie between the brothers, their co-workers, and now the hospital staff. They make me want to be there. I fell in love with Rafe and wondered at his patience with Carmen sometimes. He’s sexy, funny and an all-around nice guy…ticking all my boxes. I did like Carmen but am not a fan of book long “I was burned once and can’t let myself fall in love again” dialogue. My personal opinion is that it becomes tiring, especially when the past incident was nothing major. I enjoyed their banter and how the relationship grew, surprising them both.

I love Ms. Burton’s writing style and how she pulls you in to develop a relationship with the characters. This story was sweet, humorous, romantic and enough sexiness to keep me warm on a winter day. I enjoyed it and look forward to book 3.

I am in love with the Donovan’s! I enjoyed the three brother’s banter and closeness…especially the story of how they came to call themselves brothers. As the eldest, Jackson carries a burden from his past that he tried to ignore. Thankfully Becks was the right person to reach inside him and break him free. That journey was heartfelt and sexy. What a combo. Becks could hold her own with the hesitant, and sometimes grumpy, Jackson. Her self-assurance – despite her past – was not clichéd, instead it was just right. Making them a couple that you wanted to know. I cannot wait for book 2!

Zach and Josie were real people in real lives, so relatable that I was able to slide right into their world and go for the ride. It was a sweet and sexy little romance that brought me back to small town life and high school football games. There wasn’t a lot going on, but I liked this gentle little story.

This installment in the Play by Play series is a true slice of life, not only for Mia and Nathan, but the friends and family around them. I connected with Nathan from the beginning. I liked his humor and easy manner…and of course, his sexiness. I liked Mia as well, but she frustrated me a few times. Ms. Burton’s smooth writing style helped to ease those edges though, and wrote a fun romantic story – perfect timing for football season too.

I fell in love with this book. Deacon is the perfect man to fall in love with. Understanding, caring, hot and sexy. Who can ask for more? I was glad that I could relate to Loretta right away, so that I could care about her and her little girl, Hazel. I’ve enjoyed the Hope novels, but this one gave me the warm fuzzies without going overboard. Smoothly written, believable and reinforced my desire to live in Hope. I can’t wait for the next installment.

RULES OF CONTACT is the perfect mix of sexy and sweet. I really enjoyed it. I loved Flynn but it took me a while to warm up to Amelia. I liked her by the end of the story though. I enjoyed the storyline and the romance was steamy. RULES OF CONTACT is the twelfth book in Jaci Burton’s Play-by-Play series but each book is a standalone so you can pick this one up even if you haven’t read the previous releases. I enjoy the entire series though and highly recommend them for readers who enjoy heroes that play sports and hot romance. Go grab a copy of this one. It’s a great romance book to heat up a cold night.
