When Lynsay Sands releases a book I immediately grab a copy because I know I’m going to enjoy it. Her historical and paranormal romance series are a great mix of humor and hot romance. SURRENDER TO THE HIGHLANDER is the fifth book in Lynsay Sands’ Scottish Highlander Series, but each book is a standalone and you do not need to read the previous before picking up this one. I highly recommend the entire series though and the characters are connected. SURRENDER TO THE HIGHLANDER is Neil Buchanan and Edith’s story and they were introduced in previous books. Neil is one of Siadh’s many brothers and Edith is one of her close friends. Their story had a mystery, some humor and some steamy romance. I highly recommend this series for historical romance lovers looking for hot Scottish romances. They’re addicting!

DRAKON’S PAST was an exciting ride that kept me glued to the pages and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s the fourth book in N.J. Walters paranormal series, Blood of the Drakon. DRAKON’S PAST is Nic, a fire dragon, and Constance, a antique dealer’s story. Danger, romance and sexy dragons make this series addicting! N. J. Walter’s paranormal world of drakons (half dragons/ half men) and the evil knights that hunt them, set in present day, is unique and exciting and she keeps me anticipating more. I highly recommend this series for paranormal romance fans looking for a great dragon shifter series.

When Christine Feehan announced this new series I was so excited and she didn’t disappoint me. I loved JUDGMENT ROAD! Hot bikers with paranormal abilities, danger and smoking hot romance make this series addicting. The Torpedo Ink MC is made up of survivors from a brutal Russian training facility. JUDGMENT INK is emotional, raw, gritty and has darker elements. There were times the story made cringe and want to cover my eyes rather than read the emotional scenes. Christine Feehan is a master storyteller and always delivers a story in a way that makes the reader feel like the story is coming alive and I felt a full range of emotions while reading this one.  I’m hooked and can’t wait to read each club member’s story. I recommend this series for romance lovers who enjoy a dark storyline and biker romance lovers will definitely love this one.

I loved this book! BLOOD FURY is the third book in J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Legacy, a spin-off of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. This release features Peyton and Novo from the Brotherhood training program and Saxton, the king’s lawyer and Ruhn, Bitty’s uncle that was introduced in THE BEAST. BLOOD FURY had two great love stories and lots of action that kept me glued to the pages. I loved every minute of it and can’t wait for the next release. I’m a fan of both of the Black Dagger series and I’m really enjoying this spinoff. The Legacy series reminds me of the first books in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. If you’re a fan of the series you’ll love this new release and if you’re new to the series I’d recommend starting at the beginning and reading these in order. They’re addicting and you’ll fall in love with all of the characters.

ELIZABETH’S WOLF has been revised and re-released by Berkley just in time for the release of Cassie’s book in September 2018. Cassie’s story begins in ELIZABETH’S WOLF as a little girl and it tells her mother’s story. The Breed series features Cassie in the storyline and readers have read about her growing up throughout the series. The Breed series is about genetically engineered human/ animals that were raised in labs and it is set in the future. ELIZABETH’S WOLF is one of my favorite books in the series and it was fun to revisit the story and prepare for Cassie’s book, CROSS BREED. If you’re new to this series, the beginning of the series is being re-released so you can start at the beginning. I recommend reading them in order to follow the series storyline, but each book can be read as a standalone. The Breed series is suspenseful, emotional and scorching hot. I highly recommend this series for paranormal lovers. You’ll definitely want to binge read the series.

I loved this Highlander romance! THE HIGHLANDER’S PRINCESS BRIDE is the third book in Vanessa Kelly’s Improper Princesses Series and can be read as a standalone. I didn’t read the previous books before reading this one but I bought them all and plan to read them because I loved this one so much. THE HIGHLANDER’S PRINCESS BRIDE was so much fun! I loved the characters and the storyline. It had danger, humor, mischief and some hot romance. This book was a feel good romance that left me smiling. I highly recommend this book for historical romance lovers looking for a fun and sexy story. Vanessa Kelly is now on must buy list.

I loved this story! CHERISH HARD is the first book in Nalini Singh’s new contemporary series, The Hard Play Series. I’m so excited about this series! I’m obessed with Nalini Singh’s paranormal romances and I loved her Rock Kiss series. CHERISH HARD was a great mix of sweet and sexy. It’s an older woman/ younger man romance but there was only a 5 year age difference so I didn’t think it created issues. I fell in love with Sailor and really liked Ísa. This book was well written and had a greate plot. I just really enjoyed it. I highly recommmed anything Nalini Singh writes and can’t wait for the next release.

ÍSA WONDERED WHAT THE HELL she was doing.
Being a devil woman, she reminded herself. Having fun for a change. Not being a grandma at twenty-eight years of age.
Still, she couldn’t stop second-guessing herself as Sailor led her out of the house through a side entrance that opened out into a small, manicured garden. “I’ll have to take off my heels,” she whispered when she saw the pebbled path snaking through the garden.
“Want a piggyback ride?” A playful grin. “I promise not to molest your thighs.”
Goose bumps broke out over Ísa’s skin, her nipples tight. Reckless as she was feeling tonight, she might just have taken him up on his offer if she hadn’t been worried her damn dress would split in two. “Maybe when we’re naked,” she said instead, Devil Ísa in full flower.
Groaning, he doubled over as if she’d punched him.
Her lips twitching despite the melting sexual heat liquefying her bones, she leaned down to slip off her heels.
Sailor waited, his hand firm around hers, until she was done. Taking the heels from her, he carried them in his other hand as Ísa padded beside him on the grass that lay on this side of the pebbled path. The path ended at a weathered wooden gate, which, when opened, put them at the top of a narrow walkway that led down onto a beach Ísa couldn’t yet see but could hear.
Her heart crashed in time with the waves as they made their way down to the beach while the mansion behind them pulsed with light and music. But she didn’t turn and run away, she didn’t stop and talk herself out of it, she didn’t attempt to be a sensible adult. She followed a gorgeous, blue-eyed man down a dirt pathway to an effectively private beach.
The sand that had been tracked onto the path was gritty under her feet, the air coming off the sea cool but not cold.
“The water’s going to be icy, isn’t it?” she whispered to his broad back.
“Don’t worry, spitfire. I’ll keep you warm,” was the deep-voiced response. “Stop here.” Jumping down to the beach, he reached up to grab her by the waist, swinging her down as if she were a featherweight.
Something fluffy and mushy came to life inside Ísa. “Here?”
Shaking his head, he said, “Raj told me there’s like a little cove area—not a proper cove, but caused by— There.”
Ísa saw it at once. A huge tree had fallen into the water at some point and smashed up against some rocks where it appeared to be stuck. Between the jutting rocks on either side and the fallen trunk was a naturally created pool. The water within it was pretty calm, and it looked as if they could get to it by clambering over some rocks that didn’t appear too sharp or slippery.
Of course, she’d be walking over those rocks naked.
Ísa looked up at the moon. Imagined it shining on the stark white of her body. Gulped. “Will you close your eyes while I go in the water?” Even Devil Ísa wasn’t up for blinding him with her glow-in-the-dark form.
A glance back. “What’re you going to bribe me with?”
Ísa scowled. “Not pushing you into the water right now.” It was a toothless threat given his muscles and her lack of them.
Rubbing his jaw, he said, “Three tongue kisses. That’s my price, and I’m not budging.”
Ísa wanted to pounce on him all over again. “Two,” she countered.
“Nuh-uh. Three. Or I’m keeping both eyes wide open.” Leaning in, he pressed his nose to hers. “I really want to keep my eyes wide open.”
And Ísa really wanted to kiss him and run her hands all over that sculpted chest. “Three,” she whispered.

I enjoyed SOMEONE TO WED. It’s a Historical Regency romance that makes a great winter read to snuggle up with and get swept away in for a while. SOMEONE TO WED is the third book in Mary Barlogh’s Westcott Series. I haven’t read the series but the hero is in previous books so I’m planning to go back and read them.  This book grew on and surprised me. I didn’t like the heroine at first and almost set the book aside, but the more I learned about her the more I grew to understand and like her. Alex and Wren had a practical agreement for marriage and there wasn’t much steamy romance in this book. I thought their relationship grew slowly. I enjoy Mary Barlogh’s writing style and she creates characters readers can relate to. I recommend this book for historical romance lovers looking for a good regency romance.

Donna review 4.5 stars

This is a fun, exciting ride through danger and threat. This installment in the Nauti books also lives up to the smoking hot romance they are famous for. My only complaint was that it seemed convoluted in parts, making me re-read to figure who and where we were. Other than that, Angel, Duke and the rest of the MacKay family, kept me glued to the pages.

I absolutely loved ARCHANGEL’S VIPER! It is the tenth book in Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series. Each book in this paranormal romance series can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading them in order to fully enjoy the series storyline. It was an action packed ride from start to finish. I loved Venom and Holly together. They had a friends to lovers romance and they didn’t actually come together until the last part of the book. They had a strong emotional connection, their banter was fun and the romance was hot when they got together. It was such a great story and one of my favorites this year. I always get swept up in the worlds Nalini Singh creates. I highly recommend this series for readers looking for paranormal romance series that is truly unique.
