I loved this book! Erika Kelly is on my must read list because she never disappoints me. CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE is the sixth book in Erika Kelly’s Calamity Falls Series. The Calamity Falls was previously called the Bad Boyfriend Series and some of the books in this series have new titles in case you have been following The Bad Boyfriend Series and see new books titles out there, they are the same books. I love the entire series and recommend them. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone.

CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE had everything I look for in a great romance with passion, a swoony hero, a great heroine I could cheer for and some humor. I couldn’t put it down and I didn’t want it to end. Erika Kelly always gives me a great love story with all the feels. I highly recommend this new release or any of her previous books.

Donna review 4.5 stars

This book is a wild ride of excitement from page one. I read it as a stand-alone, but it seemed too convoluted at times to keep all the players straight, and I realize I should have read the two before. I will now go back and read them.

Even though I could not relate to Kit and her life experiences, I soon connected with her and became quite invested in her future. Castle was a bit slower to get under my skin. From the outside he seemed closed off, but his personality began to show through as the story progressed. It almost seemed like a fated romance than one that would naturally progress. Of course, all the danger and action swirling around them didn’t leave time for wooing.

I am a sucker for group dynamics when it comes to special ops stories and this one was fairly good in showing how they get along and work together. I wish I had read the first two before tackling this one, but I love Juno Rushdan’s writing style and wild action, so I plan to read more. It is an adrenaline pumping, sexy romance from an author I plan to follow.

Donna review 4.5 stars

I enjoyed this introduction to Butterfly Bayou. It had all the tension, romance and sexiness that I like in a story. It’s listed as a contemporary romance, but it has enough suspense to go either way. I didn’t connect with Lila for a while, wondering what Armie saw in her. Thankfully that changed soon enough, helping me understand her past and present so I could become invested in them both, as well as Armie’s daughter. Then of course he did something stupid and I wanted to shake some sense into him. All part of the story arc and I was in there for it all. This book was nicely written without a ton of back info on the town to bog it down. I look forward to reading book two.

I love the entire series and recommend them. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone.

IT WAS ALWAYS YOU had great characters, hot romance and a story that pulled me in. I really enjoyed reading about these characters basically growing up, finding themselves and their dreams along with their love story. Erika Kelly always delivers a great love story and never disappoints! I recommend this book for romance lovers looking to get lost in a great love story.

Great start to the new year! HUNTING FOR A HIGHLANDER is the eighth book in Lynsay Sands’ Highland Bride Series, but each book is a standalone and you do not need to read the previous books before picking up this one. I highly recommend the entire series though and the characters are connected. HUNTING FOR A HIGHLANDER is Geordie Buchanan’s story. He’s one of Siadh’s many brothers and there are still one or two more left I think. The story had plenty of steamy romance and some humor. I highly recommend this series for historical romance lovers looking for hot Scottish romances. I always enjoy Lynsay Sands books whether it’s her historical romance or her paranormal romance books. She always leaves me wanting more.

I love finding a new series to love! Matchmaker Bay is filled with fun and quirky residents that make me want to pack up and move there. The second-chance romance was done spot-on and not drug out to the point of eye-rolling. I loved it. Eve was a character that I could relate to immediately, even if her past ten years was not fleshed out much, I liked her and understood her emotions and confusion. Especially about Sawyer… He is my idea of a perfect man. Strong, caring, patient, a cop in uniform. They made a fun couple to watch as they worked through the past mistakes and rekindled their love.

This is a sweet romance with some nice heat, witty humorous banter, and relationships that keep me smiling. I can’t wait to see what happens next to this little town.

I liked this installment in the series. Cara is an intelligent woman who gets in way over her head while trying to help the business. She may end up being a damsel in distress because of that, but she shows enough grit and determination – not to mention a quirky sense of humor – to make it enjoyable. Henry is my favorite “is he good or is he bad” kind of man. I also liked that it took a while to figure that out. Their romance didn’t scorch the pages and that was fine and fit well with the story. Although I wished there was more a group dynamic between the sisters, the storyline and romance between Henry and Cara was a wild ride. Some improbable situations? Possibly…but so much fun. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I loved Bjorn and Fox together! This story was so much fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Their story included passion, heartache, emotion and danger. Gena Showalter always tells a great love story. She also gave a sneak peak scene with William who’s up next in THE DARKEST KING!  I absolutely cannot wait. I highly recommend this entire series. It’s one of my favorites that I read over and over. I’m obsessed with the Lords of the Underworld!

Donna review 4.5 stars

At first, I wasn’t sure if I would like Kate. She came across as a bit of a bitch with too much rambling about how she felt about groups of men in Alaska. But the author gave enough insight into her thoughts, and enough outward glimpses of her vulnerability to Templeton, that I understood his attraction to her. They fit rather well together and managed to break down each other’s relationship barriers in a smooth believable manner.

The story was also one that kept me glued to the pages. It wasn’t an action-packed-shoot-em-up, nor was it just a boring investigation. It was a riveting combination of the two, leading to an exciting climax. I enjoyed this installment and can only hope that Isaac is the next Alaska Force member in the crosshairs.

This was a wild-ride addition to the Deep Ops series. This band of set-up-to-fail-misfits find themselves in another dangerously convoluted situation. I do love the underdogs, especially this group. They’re each odd yet work so well together. Raider is of course hot, sexy, and alpha. Brigid’s strength is in computers, not people. How those two worked themselves into a sexy-hot romance was fun to read. The action and intrigue pushed the edge of probability, but isn’t that what makes a fun romantic suspense? I think so. It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. Danger, violence, romance, friendship, and humor all jam-packed together nicely.
