DESCRIPTION:
It is a new beginning for the Chanku. For so long they kept their shapeshifting ability secret, but now they have assimilated into the world in ways they once never thought possible. Still there are those who want to destroy them, with dark powers of their own…

A Bold New Beginning

The CEO of Cheval International, Lily Cheval chooses to live alone, but a series of rapes and murders leave her wary and worried for her fellow Chanku. Then she meets Sebastian Xenakis and the connection is intense and immediate. The son of a charismatic cult leader, Sebastian is a mysteriously sensual man who uses magic to shift into wolf form. He and Lily come together in a moment of supreme ecstasy, succumbing to a primal passion that leaves Lily shaken but utterly alive. Is Sebastian her lifetime mate or is he her worst enemy?

REVIEW:
Lilly is a strong intelligent alpha shifter who also has the command of magic in her. I like that the author was able to convey her strength without making her cold. Sebastian is an alpha in his own right, but has a vulnerability to him that I found endearing. I also enjoyed not being sure if he was a good guy, a bad guy or just caught up in events around him.

The story was interesting with plenty of action, suspense and romance. This book is not timid and is sexually uninhibited. I enjoyed the story and look forward to Spirit Wild #2!

Sexy and satisfying, imaginative and atmospheric, One for the Wicked is a racy page-turner filled with nonstop action and plenty of passion, sure to please fans of paranormal romance.

REVIEW:
Karina Cooper’s Dark Mission series comes to a finale in One for the Wicked. This series is fast-paced, full of drama, action and romance. I picked up this book for review not knowing it was part of a series. I had to go back and read the first 4 books to understand the book. It was worth it. I loved this series and this book was a great finale! The worldbuilding in this story is incredible! I could not put these books down and devoured them. Shawn and Kayleigh are on opposites sides in this fight, but when they come together their chemistry is explosive and undeniable. When Kayleigh realizes she is on the wrong side and her father is really the villain she jumps in to help. This book was an incredible ending and I can’t wait to see what Karina Cooper has in store for her readers next. I highly recommend this series!

A KING’S RANSOM (MASTERS OF PLEASURE SERIES) by Mandy Roth, written as Reagan Hawk

A KING’S RANSOM (MASTERS OF PLEASURE SERIES) by Mandy Roth, written as Reagan Hawk
PUBLICATION DATE: May 21, 2013
REVIEW BY: Reading In Pajamas/ Donna
RATED: 3.5 Stars

DESCRIPTION:
Sci-Fi Fantasy Paranormal Erotic Romance Novel

On a quest to find his brother, King Kritan of Katarian on the planet of Panucia finds himself ambushed, beaten, tortured and then sold to fight in the arena games. The people of Tamonius–his rival kingdom–condone slavery, take public sex to new lows and try to turn a profit off anything they can. Nothing can change his hatred for everything Tamonius… that is until he meets the most breathtakingly beautiful woman he’s ever laid eyes upon. Surina of the House of Argyros, daughter to a powerful senator stirs the beast within him, making it want to lay claim to her as badly as the man does.

Free or not, Kritan is a master of seduction and has selected Surina as his newest prey. But this virginal beauty has secrets of her own–ones that change everything. And destiny just might have the last laugh.

Warning: Novel contains graphic violence, explicit sex, MF and MFM scenes, forced seduction, raw and gritty scenes of a society without order, sex scenes that may be offense to some, an alpha male shifter king who sees what he wants and goes for it, all else be damned, a head guard who has many secrets but shares a passion for the heroine and a virginal heroine who has longed to be taken rough and claimed fully by a man. This novel is not for everyone or the faint of heart.

REVIEW:

If you are looking for a hot sex filled story, than this is it. Surina was kept sheltered from the hedonistic activities of the city around her but that didn’t mean her lust could not be awakened by the handsome slave of her father. As they fight for freedom their passion and love grows. I don’t usually read Sci-Fi based books so this was a stretch for me but it was fast paced, full of explicit action and kept me reading.

Werewolves Be Damned (Magic & Mayhem) By Stacey Kennedy

Werewolves Be Damned (Magic & Mayhem) By Stacey Kennedy
Publication Date: April 15, 2013
Review by: Reading In Pajamas – Cori
Rating: 4.5 Stars

BOOK DESCRIPTION:

Nexi Jones—part witch, part guardian, and wannabe kick-ass warrior—can’t throw a punch or conjure the simplest magic. But that doesn’t stop her from hunting the werewolves who slaughtered her human family. She’ll have her revenge, but only if Kyden, the elite guardian, would get the hell out of her way.

Kyden can’t decide if Nexi wants to get herself killed or if she just has no clue what she’s doing. But her father made it clear: keep Nexi safe…or else. Of course, the more Nexi runs toward revenge, the more she needs Kyden’s aid, and as she grows into her power and confidence, so does his desire to protect her. The only problem? She’d rather he dropped dead.

But when a vampire paints a bull’s-eye on Nexi’s back, she’s hard-pressed to deny Kyden and the help he’s offering. Even if it means getting her revenge will be a little bit harder. At least it will still be as sweet.

REVIEW:

I loved this book! This is my first book by Stacey Kennedy and I’m hooked now! This book had everything I look for in a great story. Werewolves Be Damned has great characters, a great plot, lots of action and of course lots of romance. Kyden and Nexi have steamy chemistry! Highly recommend this book and I can not wait for the next book in this series. Hopefully one of the other characters will get a story. I’m off to Amazon to download more books by Stacey Kennedy!

REVIEW:
This book pulls you into the mind of a 16 year old boy trying to survive the aftermath of horrible destruction. To make matters worse, the chemicals have turned people into crazed ‘zombiesque’ hunters. While being chased, he is looking for others like him….normal. When he does find other stragglers, you feel their uncertainty, fear, hope and longing for companionship. Each has a different background and personality but now have something in common and they desperately hang onto that thread and struggle to determine the best course of action.
This story pulled me in and won’t let go. I can not wait until book 3 so I can stop worrying about them. Great read.

Losing Me, Finding You (A New Adult Biker Erotic Romance) by C.M. Stunich

Losing Me, Finding You (A New Adult Biker Erotic Romance) by C.M. Stunich
Publication Date: April 19, 2013
Review by: Reading In Pajamas – Cori
Rating: 4 Stars

BOOK DESCRIPTION:
‘Losing Me, Finding You’, a New Adult/Biker/Contemporary Romance Erotica Novel Recommended for Ages 18 and Up

Twenty-one year old Amy Cross’s idea of a hot Saturday night is curling up with her favorite book boyfriend and secretly sneaking a bottle of her mother’s wine. That is, until she meets Austin Sparks, the biker boy with a past that burns like fire and a gaze she can’t look away from. Without knowing what she’s doing or why she’s doing it, Amy ends up on the road with Austin traveling from one city to another while learning things she’s only ever read about in romance novels.

At first it seems like Austin is Amy’s fantasy come true, but as their journey progresses, she starts to sense that Austin is running away from something. Amy knows that she’ll do whatever it takes to help him find himself. What she doesn’t expect is that she’ll lose herself in the process and how good it will feel to be free.

LOSING ME, FINDING YOU EXCERPT:

“Austin,” I whisper as he steps forward and uses the weight of his body to get me right where he wants me. I want to keep kissing forever, tasting sultry Southern boy and good manners and a filthy f****** mouth, but I think he has other plans.
“If you don’t want this,” he whispers as he grazes my ear with his white, white teeth. “Then you better tell me now because once I get started, I ain’t gonna be able to stop.”
How unfair, I think because really, there is no way that I can speak with scalding kisses being pressed to the side of my neck and my shoulder. Instead, another sound escapes my lips, bursting out into the air like a sigh of relief. Finally, I think. After all these years of reading about bad boys and alpha males and delicious men with ridiculous names, it’s my turn. Mine. Mine. Sorry, Horse; Sorry, Kellan Kyle; Sorry, Ty McCabe; Sorry, Travis Maddox; Sorry, Gideon Cross. But I’m breaking up with all of you.
“That’s what I thought.”
Austin Sparks crushes me against the pool table with his hips, the roughness of his jeans rubbing against the smoothness of my thighs as he pushes up my skirt with his warm hands.
“Get ready for this, beautiful.”
And then he’s spinning me around, so suddenly that my mouth opens wide and my cheek (my unbruised one, thankfully) slams into the felt of the pool table.

REVIEW:

I’ll admit it! I bought this book because of the hot cover! I love the cover! The book lived up to the cover though. I loved it! Sexy bad boy biker meets a good girl that gets her romance and sex ideas from books. These two can’t be more different and it was a fun story to follow. I loved that Amy carried books around and referred to her book boyfriends. Austin made me want to smack him a few times, but ultimately became the hero for the story. Plus I enjoy when characters cause me to experience emotions. The sex scenes were smoking hot! I’d recommend this to any readers looking for an erotic biker romance. I can not wait fo the next book!

DEUCES WILD (RIDGEVILLE: BOOK V) by Celia Kyle

DEUCES WILD (RIDGEVILLE: BOOK V) by Celia Kyle
Published March 1, 2013
Review by: Reading In Pajamas/Donna
Rating: 4 Stars

DESCRIPTION:

Squirrel shifter Elly has been captured by Freedom, beaten, and then handed off to be raped. Only her new hotter-than-hell jailor, Deuce Pierce, isn’t keen on forcing her and is all about saving her curvy, furry ass and getting her to safety. After she’s freed, she can’t forget about the lion who saved her life, and she hunts for him, determined to find the man who haunts her.

The council has tried to keep Deuce separated from Elly, convinced he’s abused her in some way, as if he would hurt his mate. He finally beats (literally) her location out of one of their soldiers, only to find she lives in the hometown he’d vowed to leave behind. His lush squirrel may be happy to see him, but the townspeople and their families take up where the council left off. Good thing he and Elly have wicked teeth, sharp claws, a gun or two, and more love than any two people ought to share. Because no one is going to separate them, come hell, high water, or shot-out knees.

REVIEW:

This book carries on the story of the Ridgeville Pride. I love that the pride now includes squirrels. That alone shows you the humor added to these stories. The threat to our couple is not just from the Freedom group that has been dogging the shifters but from Deuces’ family also. Which added another layer to the tension. There was action, drama, laughter and of course passionate shifter sex. I liked the book and look forward to more.
