Donna review 4.5 stars

I don’t know what I expected, but this hot romantic suspense kept me turning the pages past my bedtime. Sophia’s dual life was given depth by her personal bodyguard, along with her friends and teammates. They added a realism to the story. Viktor was pure domineering alpha male, with glimpses of a tender side to round him out. They made a hot couple in this tantalizing romance. Secrets and intrigue abound in this erotically charged romance. This book has me anxious for the next in the series. Loved it!

Donna review 4.5 stars

What a whirlwind introduction to the new series! Setta included enough of the established characters, that it seems, but a continuation of the Guardians of the Realm series. With a new twist that is. Because it is a novella, the character development of Rykr and Lucy is not as developed, but that didn’t keep me from being invested in what happens to them. I was pulled along through this sexy mystery, eagerly turning the pages. I look forward to where this spin-off series is headed.

It’s hard to believe that this series has come to an end, but Hroarr and Sirena made a good couple to hold it together. It took me a little while to warm up to Hroarr, but as I read, I realized that was part of the story and that it would take a strong and patient person like Sirena to crack his shell. As expected, their romance was super-heated, and flowed well with all the dire destruction going on around them. A few spots seemed rushed or crowded, but overall, it was an exciting wrap up to the series. This is not a standalone novel, so you will need to read the others if you haven’t already.

I really enjoyed this installment of the Guardian’s story. I will admit I was hesitant because she was pulling another world into an already full one, but Ms. Jay managed to weave it seamlessly into the overall story. Pothos was sexy as could be and although a dominant male, he still appreciated Gefn’s strengths and abilities. I liked that. I was also happy that they both accepted the fated mate thing as there was more than enough other stuff to keep the energy going, they didn’t need a relationship-denial arc at all. Their relationship is a nice blend of eroticism and romance that blended well with the turmoil around them. Oh, and I loved the lead in to the next story.

I love this series and the imagination Setta Jay uses not only with the characters but the gods around them. I am so very glad she didn’t drag out Sacha’s reluctance to bond with Hades, which was refreshing and fun to read. I also enjoyed how Ms. Jay portrayed Hades as one of the good guys but with an edge. I rather liked him that way. This book built on the overall story and got us ready for the next book….no doubt it will be about P. It wasn’t as action packed nor dis the story move as much as some of the other books in the series, but it was filled with hot steamy romance, perfect for a cold winter night.

It’s here! Donna and I spent days trying to cut down our list and we finally got it down to 30(ish) books (we each got 15 picks). I thoroughly enjoyed this super-hot addition to the Guardians of the Realms and I’m not just talking about the phoenix or fire-breathing dragons. This book did start a little slow for me because of Delia’s issues blocking her mating with Drake but Nastia and Sander shoved those thoughts right out of my head as did all the action going on. I loved the added dimension given to the ongoing story and the new dangerous excitement it brings. Normally I don’t like new angles in an already full playing field but this worked great and has me panting for the next book.

 I remember the thrill when reading book one of this series and I have to say book six keeps it going like a steam engine. Hot sexy alpha Guardians and the strong women they love can be used to describe a lot of books but Setta’s Guardians push it to the extreme. Each character is unique as are the matings yet they all work so well together as to be seamless and never boring. Bastien has rather dominating tastes which blended so erotically well with Tasha’s desires that I found myself blushing a time or two. Blazing hot sex, danger and intrigue all packed together so that you hate to put the book down. Nastia, Tasha’s twin is a tough as nails female who also meets her match though I won’t give it away except to say that I eagerly look forward to the continuation of that story. Again, a well written addition to the series that tenses you up one moment only to melt you the next. I loved it!
